Bright, refreshing tea. One that you can easily drink all day. Complexity with each sip with soft tannis that build up overtime on your tongue making this the perfect aperitif or digestif. When the bag was opened it smelled like chocolate, but once it settled you could really smell the melon, fruity notes. Very lovely to smell! Very white tea, meaning it’s high quality and comprised only of buds.

A tea that had already experienced considerable acclaim internationally, I worked with the manager of Lumbini tea factory Chaminda Jayawardana to reduce the level of oxidisation of this tea for the Australian market. It is still a strong tea with loads of character, moderate enough to be enjoyed black but with a strength of flavour that easily stands up to milk.

This tea has loads of flavour, a current favourite of mine. Its long rolled leaves make for a really smooth and medium bodied tea with distinct honey like sweetness and enduring length.

Quite possibly one of the best first flush Darjeeling teas I have had the joy of tasting. Medium bodied, sweet with beautiful depth of character.
