The last of the teabag samples from TeaWithJann. I definitely feel like I saved the most interesting for last. I have a hard time describing the taste of saffron as anything other than, well, saffron. I suppose the closest thing that comes to mind is a sweet clean earthy taste that leans maybe a smidge savory? This definitely tasted like saffron and sort of just saffron. Perhaps a little metallic but that could easily be as much from the black tea as the saffron.
Made for a mediocre tasting cup overall, but still a unique one.
