From Kawaii433 a while ago, thanks very much!  This is the most neon of buckwheat – wow is it a bright neon yellow in the cup.  The flavor is a bit harsher than other buckwheat  I have tried.  It has a bite?  Instead of pure toasty smoothness I am accustomed to.  The buckwheat itself seems smaller than others I have had.  With the second steep, it did seem to lose some of the bite to the flavor, even though I steeped it for about half an hour.  Not the buckwheat I would choose over other buckwheat — it seems to have a lightness to the flavor (not that full mug of toastiness) and with that bite, I’d rather steep up other buckwheat. Next time a sipdown, so I totally don’t mind trying a Just OK tea just twice. :D
Steep #1 // 1 1/2 teaspoons for a full mug // 20 minutes after boiling // 2 minute steep

Girl Scout Cookies ain’t what they used to be but I indulged in 2 boxes this year. This tisane represents Do-si-dos :)

Kiki says: “It smells like mushrooms, toasted mushrooms or toasted coconut, toasted peanuts, peanut shells. Tastes like maybe ashes? Is that what you’re having, too?”

mhm.

“Ah ha heh heh heh! I like it; it’s kind of soothing. I bet it’s good when you’re fasting because you’ll think you’re eating peanuts [redacted].”

I think it smells like peanut butter and toasted coconut. The taste is light and sweet, with those same aroma notes and sweetness lingering gently in the mouth. I can’t get over how it’s making the living room smell! Just like sweetened peanut butter filling.

Thank you for sharing, Kawaii! Roasted buckwheat is for some reason something I never purchase but I always enjoy it :D

Really liked this one. It’s super toasty. It is a stronger buckwheat flavor than most with a nice round flavor of roasted nuts. So perfect for those cold evenings.

Almost out though. Hard to find I guess. Hope you are all doing well <3!
