I thought this one from PMD was far better than their Earl Grey. Opening the packet the peppermint aroma just slaps you straight in the face. In a good way!

I brewed it until it was a deep brown/green colour and was very aromatic. The flavour is warmer and sweeter than expected, with hints of spearmint as well as peppermint. There’s also something slightly medicinal in the aftertaste.

Peppermint is one of the few teas I can stomach drinking hot when the weather is sweltering. This is a good one.

I thought this would be very nice – single origin Darjeeling with real bergamot oils, rather than bergamot flavourings. It was a bit bland though. Neither were strong enough for me to feel really satisfied with each sip.

The tea sachet was also very lacking. The wrapper states there’s 2g in there but I’m not sure. Should have weighed it before brewing but I forgot.

It was pleasant and if I had more of this tea (I don’t) I’d probably keep it and try it again. The quality of the tea, how it’s selected and picked, doesn’t really mean anything if the resulting cuppa doesn’t taste anything special. Flavour is the most important part and this tea was just average.

Reading my review so far that sounds pretty negative…. it’s just easy to pick out the bad things about this tea. There are certainly good things (I still recommend this tea especially if you enjoy Darjeeling) but they’re just average-good. Not shout-worthy good.

Not being a huge fan of Earl Grey tea, I wasn’t sure what to think of this. But I was pleasantly surprised. The first word I can think of is sleek!

Here is the full review. . .Happy Sunday everyone!

Had this little delight the other day. I really enjoyed it. Its a simple/clean tea. Just a good ol fashion plain green which was exactly what I was looking for. This one is forgiving and allows you to oversteep. . .and doesn’t judge. .Even if you completely forget about it for about 10 minutes. Oops!

Below is my first SoroiTea Sister review (Woohoo!!) I was happy that my first review was on my favorite kind of tea. . .Green!
