This is very, very average. The ingredients are intriguing (orange pekoe black tea+bitter Cognac orange flavoring and orange pieces), but I’m not getting any of the bitter orange Cognac. It’s really just an orange pekoe with a whisper of orange peel. When I say a whisper, I mean I have to really think about an orange in order to taste it. Ultimately, I guess it’s really just an orange pekoe.

I look forward to orange if it is listed as a flavoring. So sad that you can’t taste it!

Yes, it’s a bummer! But, luckily I have no shortage of delicious teas.

This cup was lacking in the strawberry. But, it was still an enjoyable, creamy black tea.

This is a really delicious strawberry blend! I’m not getting and bergamot, and would definitely not classify this as an EG, but it’s a tasty strawberry tea. I got a particularly large dried strawberry in the cup I enjoyed this morning, which really amplified the authentic (not candy) strawberry flavor.

I enjoyed this blend, but it wasn’t amazing enough to buy it again. The little silver ball sprinkles were pretty cute though. I’m a sucker for sprinkles.

This is tasty! It’s a creamy buttercream frosting topped with raspberries. The little silver ball sprinkles are so cute too.

I’m mainly tasting the jasmine, a bit of light rose as well. This oolong really looks and tastes more like a green tea. Ended up oversteeping and got a touch of bitterness.

This blend was just okay for me- some cinnamon and orange, with a touch of nuttiness (which I am assuming is the black walnut). Luckily this came in the sampler that I ordered, as I had been interested in trying it.

Flavors: Cinnamon, Orange, Walnut

I maybe said that before, but the company name (especially second part) is… weird. Is there a word for “nice, interesting, but weird”?

amandastory516

I know what you mean, Martin! It is a bit strange. I think the intention is to convey their brand image, which is beautiful yet dark and gothic.

This, too, has the slightly yeasty flavor that Cotton Candy Dandy also has. It is less noticeable in this blend, though. Otherwise, a fairly average black tea with some sweet nutty flavoring.

I made a second Petals & Poison order after really enjoying the first. Can’t say I love this blend, though. I’m not getting cotton candy at all. It’s oddly yeasty, like a low alcohol content beer.

ashmanra

That does not sound tasty! LOL

This is really just okay. There’s a bit of a grenadine flavor, but there’s something weird and starchy. It also gets bitter really quickly, and the end result is just not the steep hassle. Meh.

I got distracted and overstepped this a bit, so it got a bit bitter. But, still a really nice grenadine/maraschino cherry flavor. I didn’t add any sweetener, but next time will try some honey. Seems the cherry would do well with a bit of sweetness.

I have been a terrible tea drinker this month. I’ve basically been drinking 2 straight black teas, and haven’t logged anything for nearly the entire month. Just been so busy for the last few weeks.

As for this tea- I like it more than the first time I tried it. Such a lovely floral, honey flavor.

I was hoping for a really strong lilac flavor, as I love that note in green oolongs. No lilac to be found unfortunately. However, it is still a rather tasty floral black tea. Like a bouquet of flowers coated in orange blossom honey.

I’ve been interested in this brand for awhile, and just decided to make a purchase (a 1am impulse purchase). I went with 4 different blends to start. They range from about $10-$15 per tin, and I was a bit surprised to see how small the tins are. Happily, though, it seems that the tea is packed in quite tightly, so I’ll get quite a few cups out of each tin.
As for the tea- WOW. This is my first patchouli tea, and I am so in love. It smells absolutely divine, and the flavor is lovely. Patchouli, vanilla, and a hint of rose.

Martin Bednář

Never hear about Patchouli before! That must be an unique flavour!

amandastory516

I’m very familiar with it in perfume, but never tea! It’s definitely unique.

Martin Bednář

I am not even familiar with it in perfume :D

Lexie Aleah

Ooh they have some really interesting-looking blends some of these are definitely going on the wishlist.
