Ya know putting like a teaspoon of Aunt Jemima pancake syrup into this tea was a total BINGO! :) I’m happy it stood on the counter and inspired me to try this. Its a perfect blend caramel and chai. Mmmmmm :)

Ending my silver needle weekend with something different. Gonna drink it with a cup of milk and brown sugar.
Yay just saw i won a matcha tin on a contest on Facebook. My first tea prize ever :D It’s really a lucky year for me so far…
Even the chai is yummy this time. Ohhh life is good…

I burned my finger for this one. It better be good :D

Most interesting looking one so far. The mixture is in general rather light. Has like some white little seeds with roots, then some big green seeds, then some round balls which i hope are some seeds to (even tho it really reminds me of sheep poo), cloves and some chunks of something that looks like soil, and a little bit of chopped green and black leaves.

Tea smells nice. Very nice even. It has nice yellow color. Doesn’t smell so much like cloves even tho it has more than that Christmas tea. Think it smells of cinnamon. Very very pleasant smell.

Tastes first very aromatic and yummy (cinnamon kick) then the spicy and peppery kick in. Kinda love it after this first sip :D Quite strong tho. There must be ginger in it. Lots of it…

Would be interesting to know what all the other stuff is. Gonna have to try to google it later.

Package says its usually mixed with milk and sweetener. So gonna try it with some cream and honey. To drink like this is good but i’ll steep it shorter next time. Or put less tea in it.
Mmmm yumm, milk makes it less strong and creamier and honey makes it sweet which is kinda opposite of what it was. Very good.

Nice surprise I honestly expected i won’t like it. And i was wrong. This one is a tea with a kick. Gonna leave it for some special moods ;)

Didnt have latte tea in like a week. It’s more of a cold weather drink…

I put one teaspoon of this one and like half tsp of their earl gray. And like half of cup of milk and sugar. It’s quite good…

Well im obviously in the experimenting mood lately. I tend to mix stuff together. This time it was mostly black loose and just a bit of black Irish whiskey. Just slightly bitter and light on the irish whiskey flavors. Good black combo came out of it…

About that yunnan i had this morning. I’m on my 3rd steep now and it still tastes pretty much same – which was very good….

Preparation
Boiling 3 min, 0 sec

You’re a braver soul than I. Someday I’ll have enough nerve to really start experimenting with mixing (at least that’s what I keep telling myself) ;)

malomorgen

well its just cuz i’m practical most of the time.
situation when i mix is typically like this: i got one tea that that i love (hence wanna make it last longer) and one that is lets say just OK to me (hence don’t mind using it faster or trying to make it better). the better one usually takes over the combo, sometimes i even get better taste than the better one (sometimes its yummier milder)…
some days again i just feel silly and then go for example soak popcorn’s in white tea – that happens rare and is pretty much unexplainable ;)

Leaves are, like all other Nature’s Adornments teas, rather small. Black of course.
Tea looks nice – clear deep red/brown.
Smells ok. Very black tea-ish :D
Tastes like it too. Quite similar to English Breakfast. Think ill drink it with honey and cream. Even tho it ain’t bad like this.
Mmmm good, it’s less strong than a teabag of English breakfast, gotta steep more next time. Other than that tastes like good black tea with milk. And those i love lately…

Hmmm, this tea doesn’t smell nice at all. But lets give it a try.
Color is clear strong yellow.
Omg smells really bad. Makes me really not wanna drink it.
No no no no no this tastes worse than the worse pu ehr i’ve tried. Ewww idk whats up with this particular tea… Think ill flush the rest…

EDIT bit later
Ok i opened a teabag of Twinings Jasmine Green Tea just to smell it to try and figure out if its just jasmine that i don’t like. And yep – smells very similar to this one. Not gonna try it because i just really cant stand this smell or taste. Just wanted to say that my rating might have been too hard. Might actually be good for someone who likes jasmine. I can’t do it. Weirdly i have a tea called Green Jasmine from Yogi Tea that i really like. It doesn’t taste or smell like these two at all…
Idk its confusing…

this is becoming a pattern, you don’t like chrysanthemum and jasmine, which are two of my favorites =P oh well, on to more tea discovery!

malomorgen

well chrysanthemum was pu-ehr – mostly had the pu-ehr taste (cheap one too) – so who knows i might like chrysanthemum itself. ripe pu-ehrs are still all very weird to me. takes some getting used to. jasmine tho i really dont like ;)

Chuck Norris can set ants on fire with a magnifying glass. At night.

OK honestly i’m totally jealous of Rabs’s (how do you write that?!) Shakespeare intros. So i’m gonna, from now on, start in my own way ;) Nerdy way of course…

I couldn’t resist eating 2 day old lasagne’s yesterday so I got another bad tummy day today. It’s totally worth it tho :D Hence oolong to start the day…
It tastes as always – quite neutral and very drinkable. Idk honestly what to say about oolong. So far the 2 I’ve tried taste always same. Which i like when i’m in the mood for it…

Lol — I’m such a trendsetter ::wipes imaginary lint from shooulders:: ;) Sorry about the upset tummy, but I’m glad the tea helped. Your quote brightened my morning (almost as much as your fishie teacups!) :D

It’s still kinda hard for me to rate Oolong because I’ve tasted 2 kinds and they taste quite alike – oolongy ;) It’s very much drinkable – what i like to drink when i want something neutral – like when i’m in the plain water phase. Looking forward to trying more oolongs and finally taste some actual difference among them.

Really not bad. Can’t tell much difference between this and twining teabags in taste. But this is loose leaf, looks nicer and you can steep it more times.

Color isn’t as red (more brownish) and tea isn’t as clear as they get.
I don’t know how to comment the taste of the tea itself because I always drink it with milk and honey. It’s drinkable but now i’m pouring in milk and trying the old fashioned way. Hehe looks awesome to pour milk in hot dark tea. Gotta take photos of that sometime.
Hmmm….
Well it is good. Not as strong as the teabag. And a little bit different. More of that herbal taste perhaps.
Don’t know quite good but i prefer Twinings. Got used to it by now. Yep this one has way more of that fresh herbal kinda taste to it. Good just different. Less strong and not so black tea taste. More herbal greenish. Maybe i should just put more tea in next time…

I’ll rate it just slightly under Twinings. Still very high. Still quite yummy…

First of all http://steep.it is the best tea app I’ve found so far. Love it. No more flushing over-steeped tea in the toilet :D
I drank Yerba mate because i wanted something that’s rather neutral and refreshing and something that wakes me up a bit (its 7pm came home from work an hour ago). And that it usually does. Plus making me visit the toilet more often lol. Sorry for tmi ;)

I did the classic tea brewing. 7 minutes in hot water (not boiling). I’d like to but don’t have all the equipment for the traditional yerba maté preparation. Maybe some day….

Leaves are light green.
Color of the tea is surprisingly quite green. Dark shade of it too. Not very saturated. Clear.
There’s no particular smell – just plain herbal tea smell.
No bitterness i read about. At all. It’s a very gentle herbal tea. So far quite yummy too. Didn’t put much leaves in it tho (was careful) and i waited till the water cools down a bit.
Tastes herbal. Gentle. Even a bit sweetish. I like it a lot…
I don’t know if this qualifies as green tea, but if it did (and it tastes most close to it) i’d say its a very good kind of it.
Yay, another yummy tea :D

Today is the black&milk day at work. Gonna give Earl gray a second try with milk. I didn’t really like the first try. I’ll make it stronger than normally so it should work better. Trying chrine’s recipe – 1 cup earl gray, 1/4 cup heated milk. Well without vanilla.

It’s not bad. It’s not english breakfast either ;) Vanilla would give it a good kick. If i had any.

Kinda like it…

Loose earl gray is nice chance to show how i steep my loose teas. Tea itself is a decent black tea, nothing very special about it. Think i prefer Twinings teabags. I got a big pack of loose one from Fasig’s eBay store but don’t wanna open it before finishing the other earl gray’s…
I normally drink earl gray without adding anything but this one is almost better with a little spoon of honey in it.

Got a pack of 7 different tea 1oz samplers today. I always get all excited when i see new tea in front of me ;) Water was boiling already when i saw the package on the table. So i couldn’t wait. Picked Earl Gray first. Just so i can compare it to the teabag one from Twinings.
First of all the leaves aren’t that big but they look nice and the tea smells nice in the bag. I can see little pink flowers in the mix too. Don’t know whats that from (still a n00b). But i intend to Google it.
Color is very nice, clear deep red. Smells nice and not too strong.
Tastes quite mild. Which i kinda like. Is somehow different than the teabags but can’t say why. Has probably less strong bergamot taste (which i also prefer). Not sure about it tho. It tastes bit less lemony but more sour. And black tea in it might be less strong. Maybe i just didn’t steep same amount comparing to the teabag. Basically the difference is a slight sour note that this one has. Not sure why.
After drinking leaves a nice aroma in my mouth. Sooo… well i like it. Earl Gray became one of those teas that i like to drink when i just want a neutral drink – nothing sweet or very particular – just something i can drink in between the special ones, just drink it on regular basis.
