I am slowly getting back into tea now that I’m in the office and letting myself have a few cups through the day. I can’t figure out how to drink oolong (with the multiple steeps) at home, so I brought my tiny pot to work and have cups throughout the day.

This is a good one. I’m out of practice, so I don’t have much to say other than it’s very good. It lacks some of the harshness in the first few steeps that some oolongs have, which makes it a winner in my book!

Having this with soymilk, no sugar. I think I like it better this way – it has a subtle sweetness of its own. Lovely!

Another nice tea from McNulty’s. Without additives, this tastes mostly like Adagio’s base for their flavored teas, but with milk and sugar it is perfect. Let’s face it, if I am drinking a tea called “caramel,” I’ll likely be having it with milk and sugar. This also has a hint of roastiness.

2nd steep – as good as the first, if not better! I steeped it extra long since I forgot about it, and it had even more berry flavor. Yum!

Berry nice! ;) I am without an infused at the moment, so I steeped the leaves loose and decanted the tea. This tea has a lovely berry flavor that isn’t tart. I tried a sip plain, then added milk and sugar – it was good both ways.

Hello Berry! This smells mouthwateringly berry-y. Like a bowl of fresh mixed berries. Berry teas have a tendency to be too tart for me, but this one isn’t at all. I assume that’s the ‘crème’ part but the taste is pretty smooth and creamy for something berry-flavored. The berry taste is definitely there but it’s more of a cooked berry dessert taste but without the dessert (it’s sweet but not dessert-sweet). I thought about adding a little sugar to make it more of a berry dessert with the dessert, but I drank the cup too quickly so I didn’t. I guess that means it’s pretty good! Thanks to TeaEqualsBliss for giving me the chance try this one!

Very dry. Kind of a natural sweetness. Makes me think a lot of the blackberry black tea I used to get before the wife got into loose teas. This would probably be much better with a touch of sugar… Adding sugar seems to take away most of the dryness and brings out the berry flavor. Sugar bumps up the points a little.

Pre-Infusion smells of: Berries, Grapes, Wine-Like, Flavored Black Tea
Post-Infusion smells like: Berry flavored black tea
Color: Fairly dark brown
Taste: LOVELY. Juicy! It’s a flavored black tea, alright. I can still taste the tea, itself, but can also taste berries! I’m thinking blackberries, strawberries, Raspberries, maybe blueberries!? Good tho! Juicy…NOT too tart…it’s a sweeter-tart, NOT bitter tart!

I, too, got this one from the TTB. And I’m so glad I did! I don’t know much about McNulty, but I’m a fan of caramel, so I took a sample’s worth. It’s another tea that is more about the tea than the flavoring; just the way I like it! I had it with waffles for breakfast this morning, but I think it would have been even better on its own. I recommend it!

BUMMER…I’m officially out of ALL my McNulty’s from the TTB grabs. Sigh…
This is tasting very vegetal today, moreso, than I remember it but it’s still good! See my other reviews!

I can’t say as I ever started a tea with an oolong but I have been thinking about this one for a few days. I didn’t have the greatest tea day yesterday so I thought I would start differently…glad I did…this is yummy…

WOW. Either I am the first to log this or I may have missed it.
Regardless…I’m drinking it courtesy of TTB.

I’m getting a hint of a peanut butter type smell underneath a vegetable smell.

It kind of reminds me of that Spicy Tofu Peanut Wrap at Quiet Storm in Pittsburgh that I have been craving lately. – Sorry for that side note/rant.

Anyhow…
Once it’s fully infused the nutty-scent disappears and it’s all about the veggie smell, which is fine. It’s a light brown on the verge of yellow-ish in color.

It does have a nutty taste to it and it is very nice…a bit of sweetness too!
Another great cuppa…thus far – I am having a wonderful tea day!

I was sooooo happy when I opened the TTB and found a bunch of McNulty Teas – I have never had them before…so this is AWESOME! I only took a samples-worth or two of the ones I took so others would be able to try as well.

The scent isn’t overly caramel or overly black tea.

It’s medium to medium-dark brown in color. The taste is caramel but black and a bit sweet…the sweetness seems to increase as the sip advances in my mouth and down my throat. It’s pretty darn yummy and this is coming from someone who can ‘take or leave’ caramel.

This was yummy. Added milk and sugar. Really comforting and great as dessert. I was unsure before trying (I’m not a huge caramel fan) but i was pleasantly surprised. Very enjoyable.

After a late night of releasing some updates to Steepster (whoo!), needed something strong. This is almost doing it. Tried a longer steep this time (not recommended)…need the caffeine anyway :)

Just…can’t get enough. It’s at the point now where I can anticipate the taste from just imagining the smell, which… is just so smooth. Perfect for the changing seasons (btw…when IS it going to get cold?).

This tea just keeps inching itself toward the happy, green faced man licking his lips. I think I settled on 5 1/2 minutes as my ideal steep time with a temp right around 185 degrees.

Prepared with milk and sugar, for a change. Great, deep brown color. Enjoyed the full taste, caramel isn’t overwhelming or too sweet. A fun, flavored tea that doesn’t lose the black tea taste… just what a like!
