This is a great tea! I love grapes so of course I was drawen in immediately. It has a wonderful grape aroma that reminds me of the Japanese grape flavored candies :D The taste is just as awesome! The green tea and the sweetness of the grape blend nicely, each not overpowering the other. It’s extremely yummy XD

Another flavoured puer I was very happy to try!
As soon as I opend the package the sweet smell of cinnamon met my nose and made me want to brew it that much faster!
I love that LUPICIA uses cinnamon that is more on the sweet side than the spicey side. The sweetness of the cinnamon really makes it like a cookie. Totally reminds me of a snickerdoodle! And the puer tea base isn’t that strong, earthy puer flavour that the majority of them have! It is def. a very good tea to have after a meal or infront of a fireplace on a cold rainy day!

Yum! This is definitely going to go on my shopping list. I adored their strawberry chocolate puer.

Mad_Alyss_14

yeah that ones really good too! but if you’re going to get this one, you should get the Sunny Fruits one too, thats my favorite out of the 3 lol

Caitlin

Mmmm…that one sounds yummy too! I need to make an order from Lupica soonish to renew my newsletter and replenish my cookie supply. These are definitely going on the shopping list.

cuteordeath

I have got to try that!

Mad_Alyss_14

yesh! and you need to try the Sunny fruits! It’s mine and Victoria’s favorite out of the 3! lol

Just as promised. A delicious blend strawberry and chocolate. The chocolate flavor is just like candy but in a mellow subtle way. I think I may have to purchase this one. I am very picky about strawberry and chocolate blends and this is the first one I have enjoyed. Delicious!

drank Apricot Houji by Lupicia

Thanks LiberTEAS!

Ahhhh! The roasty/toasty Houji paired with a juicy Apricot! Very nice combo! I would LOVE to taste the Apricot more. The Houji is certainly the prominent flavor here but the Apricot notes are really good too!

As it cools at room temperature a little bit the apricot comes out to play more and I really like that!

“like”…it’s a goodie!

I can’t remember when I had this to be honest…a few days ago I think. I have been crazy swamped with school stuff before spring break starts so its been a lot of bagged tea and old staples the past few weeks.
Anyway, the smell of this tea blew me away. It literally smells identical to a chocolate covered strawberry. I doubt I could tell the difference if I did a direct comparison. It smells juicy and delicious. I am always a little wary when a tea has a steep time of under 2 minutes, mostly because I would much rather have an oversteeped tea than an understeeped one. But I was good and followed the instructions and I am glad I did. It came out the perfect combination or strawberry, chocolate, and an earthy flavor that I am assuming is the Puer. It was delicious. This one is gonna have to go on my mental shopping list :)

I still need to try my sample of this. Sounds good.

Caitlin

You should definitely try it out. It is quite enjoyable and I am really picky about chocolate flavored tea – haha.

LiberTEAS

Rachel-it is really good. One of the best chocolate teas I’ve tried!

RachanaC (Rachel)-iHeartTeas

Alright, you have convinced me. I will try it tomorrow. I am picky about chocolate teas as well. Can’t wait to see how this tastes.

drank Golden Honey Dew by Lupicia
123 tasting notes

I never thought of honeydew melons as being particularly Californian, so I was surprised when I saw “Golden Honey Dew” as one of the exclusive, California-only blends at my local Lupicia store. But sure, why not? I’m Californian and like honeydew, maybe it is ‘our thing.’

I can’t remember if I’ve had ‘green rooibos’ in any other blends. The liquor still turns out a deep reddish-orange, like regular ‘red’ rooibos. I can’t taste much of a difference, either, but that could simply be because the melon flavor DOMINATES this tea. It’s the first thing you smell when you open the tin, and the scent of juicy honeydew floats over the teacup. It’s very sweet and refreshing – definitely worth checking out if you’re in the Bay Area and want to try this regional tea blend from Lupicia.

Trés yummy tea!!! The chocolate on the nose is rich and dark and the strawberry swirls in and completes everything. I save this tea for when I need a chocolatey treat but I’m trying to cut back on the calories because it’s so good even without sugar or other sweetener. Sigh…so good!!

LOVE This tea!! The chocolate tastes dark and yummy and the tea finishes with the strawberry notes. Just lovely. I made it with just a bit of sugar for the first cup and loved it. It was like a chocolate covered strawberry in a cup :-). For my second cup, I added a bit more sugar and some non-fat milk and truly amped up the scrumtiousness. If you’re looking for dessert in a cup – this is it. The addition of milk created a lusciously creamy chocolate-y drink that was just perfect. Oh so good!!

drank Champagne Rosé by Lupicia
618 tasting notes

Thank you, Brandy3392 for this cup of tea! It smells like a nice black tea combined with a strawberry candy I ate ages ago. The taste is light and delicate! The aftertaste is similar to a candy heart. There is somewhat of a faint flavor of champagne in the swallow, and I really like that it adds dimension to the entire sip. Really a lovely, fancy and beautiful tea! I want to save this for special occasions, but do see myself drinking this weekly or daily instead.

Since it’s cold and rainy i figured since i’m at work maybe something roasty could help me relax and stay warm as though i was at home. I picked this tea out of the selection and was pleasantly happy that i did.
Once you open the package your senses are welcomed by the sweet aroma of apricot as well as the roasty scent of the tea. After brewing, the mellow apricot flavour and wonderful roastiness sent me back home in sitting in front of the fire place :D This is a great tea! The houji cha flavour is very pleasant. i think i may have to try this as iced tea some time :)

Smells delicious. Tastes like earthy dark cocoa with syrupy strawberries. Seems almost “malted”.

Very yummy.

It’s true that puer gives a certain “richness” to the flavor—especially to sweet, foody flavors like this.

I’m very glad I got to try this—thanks Lupicia for the free sample! If all the other flavored puers are like this, then they are all must-haves!

drank Milk Caramel by Lupicia

I’m not much of a green tea drinker and I’ve never had houjicha before, so this tea was a bit of an experience for me. It definitely had a toasty flavor, which I am not normally a big fan of. The caramel flavor is a bit subtle for me, I prefer the flavors in my tea to be strong. I did enjoy this tea, but it isn’t something I would normally drink. Thank you Rachel for sending me this one to sample! Prepared with stevia.

drank Sakurambo by Lupicia
54 tasting notes

I’m not a particular fan of strong, almost-chemically induced, fruit blends. But there are exceptions that are done well. I gave Lupicia’s Sakurambo a try because it’s a black tea blend versus the green tea blend I had tried in past chez Teavana (my mouth puckers just thinking of the overly sugary-sour-bitter.)

The aroma out of the box is VERY strong. Sour cherry. I thought “oh no, here we go again.” But the cherries being used aren’t the dried, sugared type, they’re an actual type of cherry bean, so there wasn’t the “marzipan” character to it. It’s very pretty in the teapot – the black tea, the green needles, and the small cherry beans (I can see this being a nice treat at the holidays).

Brewed according to directions, steeped for 2.5 minutes. The sip isn’t bad. Definite cherry. I can still taste the qualities of the black tea. Not as disappointing as it foreshadowed. There was a stronger astringency than I’m used to, about medium if I had to put it on a scale.

I’m curious to try this again blended with milk and see if my opinion changes, being a black tea it just might be the ticket!

I’m satisfied, but I’m still on the hunt for my “best” cherry tea. Something that leans more toward creamy and slightly floral or spicy, like some of the good-smelling lotions at Bath and Body works.

Definitely a notch above a green cherry blend.

Meghann M

I found this makes a truly delicious cold brewed iced tea. Even as a second steep of the leaves.

When i opened my tin and smelled this tea for the first time i didnt think it smelled very good at all. but oh my is it tasty. I only brewed mine for a very short amount of time because it went very dark surprisingly quickly. I even re-used the leaves, which i never usually do with black tea and it was still amazing.

I cant really explain the tastes of this tea. It really has an amazing aftertaste though.

next time i might brew it abit stronger and try it with a little milk…

This tea was a true experience! I haven’t tried genmaicha before, so I’m taking my own exuberance with a grain of salt, but I really enjoyed this tea.

Out of the box, the dry leaves smell of matcha and sencha – that familiar fresh, vegetal goodness. I didn’t notice the rice adding to the aroma yet, but altogether, the sencha, and matcha-covered kernels made for a pretty presentation as they sat in my kyusu waiting for the hot water.

As soon as the hot water hit the kyusu, WOW! Warm, nutty, wheaty, rice smell that was familiar – like Rice Crispies cereal without the note of sugar. Wasn’t sure how that would mesh with the matcha and sencha to sip.

In the cup, it makes for a smoky, rich, complex sencha flavor. Nutty smoke to start, then vegetal, buttery sencha as the sip completes.

I’m afraid I’ve found yet another favorite to keep in my cupboard!

This tea is awesome! It has a great balance of flavors of the chocolate/strawberry and puer. I love how this tea doesnt have that distinct puer flavor and that additional flavors can come through. I like the deep chocolate flavor and the sweet strawberry finish to it. This is a great tea :)

This is the sample that I received with my Lupicia Newsletter, and it is SO GOOD! OMG!

The chocolate and puer are perfect together, the chocolate is deep and dark and decadent, the strawberry sweet with a hint of berry tartness, and the puer is not as earthy as I’ve come to expect from Puer (and that’s a very good thing).

I love this!

Mad_Alyss_14

thats so funny cuz i’m having a cup of it right now! lol

drank Paradise Green by Lupicia
54 tasting notes

This was a pyramid sachet free sample that arrived today with my Lupicia order. I was looking for something convenient to steep, and having tried the Tropical Green from Revolution Tea this morning, my palate was ready for a comparison.

The aroma is pineapple and green tea leaf. There are blue and pink flower petals mixed in with the fruit bits. I’m particularly fond of the aesthetics of blue petals with tea, so this got my attention.

I was expecting a super sweet cup, but pleasantly suprised that the actual cup had a subdued flavor. I could still taste the fruit as a secondary note, but the tea was recognizable. Pineapple was the dominant fruit in my experience. The green in combination probably lends itself to the melon other people might pick up on.

A nice blend, an experience for nose, eye, and palate. I’d try it again if I were looking for a sweet tea, though I’m not a big fanatic of fruited teas in general. Peach and cherry are my standards, with pear being a distant third.

I really love this very unique christmas tea from lupicia.

I think one of the reasons i really like it was that it wasnt your typical christmas tea that is completely overloaded with spices. Its strawberry and coconut which is much more like christmas to me seeing as its summer here at christmas and not winter.

But onto what the tea actually tastes like: quite good really. The strawberry and coconut flavours are strong but not overpowering but come through just nicely.

This is probably my favourite christmas tea ive tried so far.
