Drinking between 5 and 10 cups of tea a day can get expensive. I decided I needed a cheap type of black tea that was still drinkable with and without milk for the mornings and early afternoons. I found this at City Gross in Stockholm and it seemed to fit the bill as a box of 100 bags was less than 16 kronor(~$2.40).

Plain, it tastes a bit bitter but I oversteeped it by a minute or two. It has a malty body and a slightly astringent finish. It would be good for a quick wake-up in the morning or the sort of mindless drinking one does while studying for several hours at a time. With milk and sweetener it’s nice, but I think I prefer it plain.

I’m surprised how good this tea is for such a dirt-cheap price. It’s certainly better than the big boxes of Lipton. I wouldn’t serve it to guests, but for days when my taste buds don’t feel like working too hard or I’m focused on something else, it does the job!
