This is an interesting tea. I picked it tonight because of the low caffeine count of tea flowers. I had another tea flower cake that I paid more for but I couldn’t find it so drank this. These are considered a type of raw puerh but it bears little resemblance to raw puerh. It has none of the bitterness and none of the astringency associated with raw puerh. It has a sweet flavor to it. Even though it didn’t need it I added a small amount of sugar. Seems to intensify the sweet notes. To call it honey sweet is to get close to an accurate description. Just as raw puerh has its own unique flavor profile so does this. I simply don’t know how to describe the flavor. Someone else who has drank tea flower cakes may have a better descriptor.

Steeped this six times in a 120ml gaiwan with 8.6g leaf and boiling water. I steeped it for 5 sec, 5 sec, 7 sec, 10 sec, 15 sec, and 20 sec. I didn’t stop at six because the tea wouldn’t go any further but because it is not truly caffeine free. I don’t know how many steeps this would go, maybe ten. I’ll give this a rating but it should be understood I’m not comparing it to puerh with that rating.
