A friend gave me this tea as a birthday gift and it has been very nice~. The aroma is a fruity sweet and smooth, and the taste is equally as pleasant. A nice flowery wine taste (without the alcoholic taste of course~), and the aftertaste is is a nice wood and. I really enjoy it during the evening and/or nighttime.

Generally I like strawberry, and I like chocolate too, so this tea seemed like a superb choice – well, it wasn’t. I can’t really feel the chocolate in it, and it also lacks strawberry flavor.
Still it has some nice flavor, but I couldn’t really define it… for me it just doesn’t works.

drank Vanilla Wave by Greenfield

I like this tea, smells fantastic, however for me it tastes a bit too “Strong”, I mean the black tea tries to overwhelm the vanilla, its like a battle in your mouth, which is not bad, but I’m generally searching for more calm adventures :) Its still a recommended one!

My absolute favourite one!
It has a nice and creamy orange flavor plus some smooth spices, which mixes perfectly with the texture of the tea. I highly recommend this tea to every rooibos lover, worth a taste (or more) :)

This is a nice, fruity blend that is perfect for spring and summer. It has a very light flavor that is not overpowering.

This tea has an amazing scent. It is lightly floral with a hint of mint. It smells exactly like it tastes as well. It is very light and refreshing. It sets itself apart from other green teas with its amazing aroma and crisp flavor.

drank Vanilla Wave by Greenfield

For a tea called ‘Vanilla Wave’ it sure is cinnamony. That’s really the predominant flavor and scent here. I had my apprehensions since I don’t really like straight-up cinnamon teas, really preferring it in blends like chai. To be honest, I’m not always a big fan of vanilla teas either. Like caramel teas, there’s really only a few that I like.

This actually isn’t that bad. The creaminess of the vanilla keeps the cinnamon from being too overpowering. With some sugar, it’s almost cakey. There’s supposedly apricot in there as well, but it’s nonexistent, probably lost under the stronger flavors.

This impulse buy at an international grocery store definitely paid off. The pineapple scent is delicious and incredibly refreshing, and the taste has a just enough body. I’ll be disappointed when I run out!

drank Blueberry Nights by Greenfield

I can’t believe it; a tea with hibiscus in it that doesn’t make me scream, clutch at my throat, and drop to the floor in death throes. Again, picked up by accident (note to self: read the box more thoroughly), but in this case a happy one.

I was enticed by the idea of a blueberry and cream-flavored tea, so I purchased this. I guess the blueberry and cream flavors cut into the hibiscus and made it bearable, or this flavor just doesn’t have that much. I smell it more than taste it, though there is a slight suggestion of it at the beginning of the sip. It doesn’t taste overwhelmingly of blueberry either, but it’s creamy and sweet. Not bad at all.

drank Barberry garden by Greenfield

I’ve never tasted anything barberry-flavored before, but hey, normally if it’s berry anything I’m down for it.

I didn’t realize when I bought it that it had the devil weed, hibiscus, in the blend. I hate hibiscus; I find its flavor obnoxiously strong and its presence in so many teas proof that some cosmic entity out there hates me. But I’d already spent money on it and opened the package, so I figured I’d give it a shot. The dry blend smelled nice, so I had some hopes for it. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad. I brewed some up, took a sip, and…

‘HI ORPHIA I’M HIBISCUS. :D :D :D’ Yep. There it is, overshadowing the much more pleasant fruity taste in the background that I assume is the barberry. A shame, because I like the berry taste, but it’s hard to get over the pushy hibiscus, as usual. The berry flavor makes the hibiscus tolerable, but only barely. I finished the cup, at least.

Maybe it’ll be better iced, I don’t know. Whatever the case, I doubt I’ll be buying this again.

drank Chocolate Toffee by Greenfield
95 tasting notes

I’ve had some chocolate teas that were really chocolatey. This isn’t one of them. It doesn’t even really have a chocolate scent; it’s more buttery than anything.

For a bagged dessert tea, it’s actually pretty tasty. While I don’t get any chocolate, I do get a butterscotch flavor that plays nice with the black tea base. Maybe I’ll experiment later and see if milk coaxes out any chocolate flavor. In the meantime, I’m just going to say that this is really more of a toffee-flavored tea as opposed to chocolate toffee.

EDIT: For the love of all things good in this world, don’t add milk to this. Just don’t. Sugar yes, milk no.

The package suggests brewing for 7-10 minutes. That is way too long since this is a green tea. That amount of time seems to be needed to hydrate the pieces of fruit. But then the tea is too bitter and overpowers the fruit flavor. I found it worked best with a 3-minute brewing time. I will try letting the tea soak in cool water first. This should help with getting a more even flavor distribution by hydrating the fruit pieces without the tea overpowering the subtle fruit flavors. Ok, just tried that. I think the green tea is just bitter. No joy!

I can’t taste the ginger in this tea. The pineapple flavor stands out and I believe it’s because of the added pineapple flavoring. I tasted the pieces of dried apple/pineapple and they were essentially tasteless. I have tried 3 of Greenfield’s teas and I haven’t been overly impressed. The packaging and descriptions are nice but the teas just aren’t great. I like my teas without sweetener or milk. This may be a good tea with lots of honey and milk but if I have to do that to make a tea taste “good”, then I really don’t need that tea.

Just to add, I bought my teas on sale. They were discontinued. The store told me the Greenfield teas were not good sellers. Would I recommend this tea? Kind of a yes/no/maybe kind of thing.

I couldn’t taste the lemon in this tea. The Ceylon tea is good but since it is sold as having the flavor of “juicy lemon”, what’s the point if one can’t taste the lemon?

drank Milky Oolong by Greenfield

The smell of the dry tea was overwhelmingly sweet, like a green oolong “creamy flowers” scent amped up. Oddly enough, the brewed tea almost has a fruity scent to it? Like strawberries?

My taste buds are out of whack at the moment so I’m not really able to pick up on much that way. I might want to give this a slightly longer steep next time.

I bought this tea at the European supermarket. The tea bags are foil-wrapped, which is nice if you store them in a container with other teas (like I do at work).

The tea has a really strong strawberry scent in the bag, but after steeping it mellows out a fair bit. I wasn’t expecting the chocolatey flavor (I never bothered to read the box) but it’s quite good, not obviously a ‘chocolate tea’ but definitely lends a smooth, creamy flavour.

All in all, it tastes less like strawberry and more like a… strawberry oatmeal cookie. Which is pretty delicious.
