I am enjoying this cup more than I remember enjoying my first cup. I liked it fine before, but this time, I am finding it quite exceptional. The lime is the strongest note but it never gets too tart, and I like the way the sweetness of the nuts and coconut come through. The combination of rooibos and yerba mate is smooth and mild tasting.

A really nice cuppa!

This is really good. The lime is the dominate flavor and it tastes very authentic and juicy. The pistachio is more obvious in the aroma of the dry leaf, but I do like the nutty tones it lends to this tisane. The chili hints give this a very intriguing flavor. Very nice, indeed!

As an avid Yerba Mate drinker, I have grown my pallet to enjoy bitter things. This does not only mean my taste buds, my nose as well. Before I review this I will say I hated the initial smell, before and after brewing. On that note, a VERY TASTY blend. The Mate wasn’t very potent but it was there and it gave me a good, almost jittery energy. I know “jittery” is a four letter word in the world of Mate, but it was good jittery, ha! Great tasting blend although a suspect smelling one for a very sensitive nose

This blend was the most intriguing of all of the blends. Mate with sliced pistachios and actual pieces of limes. I was mortified and intrigued all at once, I had to try this blend.
When I finally got a chance, I was on my fourth cup of blended Mate drinks for the night. I was overloaded with liquids and my senses were heightened, but I was not going to not review it….right?
I immediately am taken a back by the smell, I say to myself, “this smells awful, pistachio and lime, what was Fusion Room thinking?” I brew a stout batch, and dig in…GLORIOUS! The team work of the pistachio and the lime worked wonderfully. At first I thought was going to be a dud, turned out to be great. They worked well together, and the smell was mellowed out when brewed. The Mate was not incredibly potent, but with a crazy blend like this, I did not expect to. I could taste the Mate though which I could not believe.
Awesome Blend

drank Apple Strudel by Fusion Teas

This is tasty, and while I can get why they chose to call this apple strudel, this tastes more like hot apple-berry cider to me. The cinnamon is strong but not overwhelming, and I like the hint of almond in the background.

A nice, warming treat to enjoy on this rainy spring evening.

drank Apple Pear Tulsi by Fusion Teas

This evening, this tastes so much better than it did the last time I tried it. I must not have used enough leaf. Tonight, I’m finding this to be rather delicious.

Hint of mint taste from the Tulsi, sweet, nectar-like taste from the apple and pear. I can also taste a bit of cinnamon in this, in fact, that was the first flavor I noticed. As I continue to sip, I can taste hints of pineapple as well.

Yes, yes, this is much better than last time!

I am having a cup of this now, and I don’t think that I used enough leaf… I just am not getting much flavor at all. I will reserve the numeric rating until I’ve had a chance to steep it properly.

I’m not real fond of the aroma…it’s overly tarty fruity – so much so that it stings the nose…BUT

The taste is pretty good hot but even better COLD…yes! I am going to trek on with this as an Iced Tea or Tisane…does the trick! fruity with a hint of cinnamon.

This is the first tulsi tea I’ve ever tasted, and it’s a delight! I’m not sure which flavors are coming from the tulsi itself or the added fruits and flavorings, but it’s a mystery I’m content to leave unsolved for now because the end result is so good. It’s a very green-tasting tea, very bright and light and fresh in my mouth and all that – it reminds me of the flavor of green yerba mate. I’m not really getting apple or pear (maybe a bit of pear), but it’s good enough overall that I feel okay about that.

Glad I decided to try this!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…I really think that Fusion Tea Room has the BEST flavored Yerba Mates! This one pads my side of the debate!

When I first opened the package the aroma was first and foremost Pistachio and then lime. Once infused it was more lime then Pistachio! Regardless – this is highly aromatic and tasting! The taste is a lovely lime partnered with Pistachio! It’s RIGHT ON!!!! I also appreciate the Yerba Mate being paired with not only regular rooibos but green rooibos! GENIUS! I really like this one! YUM!!!!!!

The smell of this is so strong that I expected smacked around by the pistachio and lime of it all when I drank it, but the flavors are surprisingly very subtle.

drank Orange Grapefruit by Fusion Teas

I really like this. I thought it would be a bit too tart – but the beetroot, apple and carrot help enhance the natural sweetness of the tangy fruits and make this a sweet, mellow tisane that my daughter LOVES!

Excellent (and very refreshing) iced.

drank Caribbean Nectar by Fusion Teas

This tea is nuts! The fruit pieces are huuuuge and plentiful, bigger than anything I’ve ever seen. Even the rooibos bits are longer than I’m used to seeing! Probably the most impressive roobios presentation I’ve ever experienced.

All that isn’t just for show, though – this is one of the tastiest roobios blends I’ve had. I sincerely regret only getting the sample size of this one, I’ve torn through it! The banana scent is strongest as you bring it up to drink, and it lingers subtly there on the palate. Just a real, true banana flavor, nothing artificial about it. The mango comes through a bit too, with the coconut being present but not overly assertive. The rooibos itself is clearly high-quality, and I don’t taste any of the woodiness that I’ve come up against in Fusion’s other rooibos teas, thank god. This would be an instant reorder if Fusion’s shipping costs were a bit more bearable.

Love it!

Thank You for the Honest and kind words. Indeed, shipping costs are annoying. As our company grows we will be able to qualify for lower shipping rates. We try and supplement the shipping cost by keeping our prices as low as possible.

Sara

Hi T E, thanks for commenting! I definitely did a big buy the first time around based on the strength of your prices and how interested I was in the teas, and that’s mostly proving to have been a good call. I’ll definitely buy again once you’re able to offer a flat shipping rate or a lower threshold for free shipping. :)

This is very tasty! Mostly strawberry with a small amount of ginger underneath. It’s not an artificial strawberry and I am very happy about that. It’s almost like water with fresh strawberries in it! If you can ‘picture that’. The other ingredients such as the apple, hibiscus, blackberry leaves, etc are all very mild but blend together nicely for the overall flavor. Very refreshing! YUM!

Cofftea

I’ve never thought of a strawberry and ginger combo… I’m disappointed there are other ingredients/flavors, but it’s definitely given me ideas for blending of my own.

Added to my Shopping List, Sounds Great, Thanks

drank Mango Mate by Fusion Teas

This is a mighty fine flavored Yerba Mate! To date – I think – Fusion Tea Room has the BEST Flavored Mate’s I have tried! This one certainly followed suite!

I LOVE mango and this was lovely!

BUT…it’s not over-the-top flavored…just the right amount of flavor there! Very enjoyable!

While listening to Queen’s “Bo.Raps.” (don’t know why I feel compelled to mention) I am sipping on a lovely cup of this. Because my stomach is on the fritz and I am having some digestion issues I think I will try and drink more Rooibos and Honeybush for the rest of the day. This is a goodie!

rmark25

I want to try this. do you know how it compares with “Tea Guys” Carrot Cake Rooibos? (Which I like)

KeenTeaThyme

One of the best songs ever! :) This sounds good ’cept for the red rooibos…

TeaEqualsBliss

I liked this version better on the first infusion but with the tea guys version I think it lasted a bit longer for multiple infusions. I also think the walnuts were bigger and more tasty in this version vs the tea guys. I want to say I like this one better as it’s more flavorful but the other is darn tasty too!

What a creative blend of flavors! The aroma and taste are what you would expect for a Carrot Cake Flavored ANYTHING :)

The Maple Brittle seems to enhance all of the other flavors. This is very sweet and I really don’t think any additional sweetener is required.

The Ginger, Cinnamon, Cloves aren’t prominent flavors but certainly contribute to the overall taste. The Walnut, Carrots, Raisins, Coconut, and Maple Brittle flavors are more in the fore-front. The Rooibos and Honeybush are well covered from their stereotypical taste for those who tend to shy away from it – they may want to give this one a whirl.

This is very aromatic and very flavorful! Very well done.

Not too sure about this one…I mean it’s alright and it ends find but I think there is a little too much Chicory in this for my tastes. I love the idea of it. The caramel is nice and I like the mate and rooibos mix. It smells like Caramel coffee. I think the only thing interrupting this one for me is the amount of chicory flavoring…

I had a cup of this Monday and forgot to log. Had another one this morning! It’s really special! The apple and pear are both noticeable but blend well together at the same time. This is a wonderful flavor combo for tulsi! LOVE that about it! The color is a little murky brown but the aroma and taste are really yummy! I would drink this one fairly often!

The Cocoa, Coconut, and Cinnamon create a flavor of it’s own. It’s very aromatic and pretty tasty. I’m thinking my rating on this one will change but for now I will go with this…

This is my favorite of Fusion’s mates, and luckily so considering I had a good feeling and ordered up six ounces of it. I can rarely resist pistachio anything, and the idea of this tea just seemed so weird and exciting that I couldn’t resist!

Though I had hoped for a profusion of pistachio flavor, it’s unsurprisingly a bit buried in a sea of lime and green mate. Not necessarily a bad thing, but good to know. It’s not very tart (yay!), more like the lime flavor that remains in your mouth after the initial shock of tartness has worn away. The brew smells pretty strongly of pistachios, though, which is interesting because you get pistachio on the nose as you go to take the drink and then in comes the green mate when you taste it.

Overall a good melding of all the flavors, but more importantly it has that elusive quality that keeps me coming back, wanting another cup. It’s very unique, like nothing else in my cupboard, good for any time of day but especially nice if you want caffeine in the morning without getting knocked out by a roastier brew. Highly recommended!

drank Cocoa Raspberry Mate by Fusion Teas
69 tasting notes

Yum! Fusion does marvelous things with mates, and this is one of their best. The roasted flavor of the mate is still pretty strong, but over it there’s a flavorful haze of raspberry and chocolate, leaving behind a sort of cake-y aftertaste that I’m really into, like you just finished a chocolate cupcake with raspberry frosting. A delightful way to start the day!

As I open this package – it smells like Florida in a cup! Awesome Grapefruit, Orange, Apple, Berry, Lemon, Tangerine mixture. After infusion…it still smells nice, tho, mostly orange, grapefruit, hibiscus.

It’s VERY red in color – between the beet root and hibiscus that doesn’t shock me.

Surprisingly this ISN’T tart – it has a semi-smooth finish considering everything it contains.

Thumbs up! Would be better cold but I’m enjoying it hot at the moment, too!
