It’s my newborn, er I mean, my last purchase. It doesn’t have a strong taste and it’s sweet enough to drink alongside fruits. I have it in lattes most of the time because it’s deliciously creamy. It’s a tea a friend told me a lot about so I decided to buy it. Totally worth it!
Preparation
It’s a onenight stand you cannot help but to go back to. It’s chocolate and mint and what a kiss should taste. You have a mug, you know you’ll have ten more in the evening. I can’t help myself. When I tasted it the first time I barely slept the night after because I had too much of this tea. You should be careful because it’s an addiction.
Just like sex.
Preparation
It’s an orgasm during midterms, your knight during your finals. It’s a friend, a companion you cannot leave without once you taste it. It’s strong and spicy, the way I like my teas to be. Because it’s a black tea, it’s extra strong, extra spicy. You want it in your pants during winter, you want it breathing down your neck. It’s a lover, a friend and a damn tea you should have with you forever.
Yes, I’d marry it if I could.
Preparation
That baby hooked me up on Davids’ Tea. It’s the second tea I bought in Vancouver and I do not regret it! I took a 5k walk to get a refill for this one! My spicy-tooth is gone down so I kind of forgot about it. However, tea conserved in a can is good for 2 years. It’s just like the description renders it. It’s strong, spicy, but delicious. A Latte with this one is God on earth. For those who don’t like coconut, don’t buy it. The taste is quite something.
Preparation
This one was a surprise. I never thought tea could be so delicious while (well, let’s not hide it) glow in the dark. It’s nickname is Cullen’s tea because it sparkles. It’s a cinnamon tea, so if you don’t like cinnamon, avoid it. Although the taste is not strong, it’s still present. It’s also love in a can AND in a mug. When I have lots of study to do and a long evening ahead, I pick this one or Coffee Pu’erh. They are both my comfort tea, if I may say.
Preparation
It’s one of those teas that should never be out of stock but is unavailable all the time. Why? Because everyone buys it. It’s that good. It was a must during Fall, so the shop asked for another big bag of tea. They passed it in less than 2 weeks. I was really sad and you can believe me, I’m looking forward the day I’ll be able to buy more of that tea. Pumpkin? Cloves? Cardamon? Caramel? Hell yes.
Preparation
Had a crappy, terrible day andneeded a pick me up. I also wanted to test my DavidsTea travel press (http://www.davidstea.com/accessories/david-s-travel-press). I was told by the girls in store that the press pins the leaves against the bottom of the mug and keeps them from expanding and steeping that way, but I wasn’t sure. I’d never used it for anything but rooibos and forgiving herbals. But DaisyChubb and a few others were curious, so I decided to try it out with this tea, one I have oversteeped before and noticed a difference.
I’m in complete shock, it worked! It’s been in the mug for about an hour now, and it’s not oversteeped. Yay! My winter self is very excited about this.
I still love this tea and it still seems to be doing the trick, though it might help that my wife will be home soon. That always lifts my mood.
I hate the crappy, terrible days! I hope your day gets better and at least you have the weekend ahead :)
Yay! Best experiment ever. I hope the rest of your day transforms into the best day ever.
Thanks for trying this out, I’m sold. :)
Yay! Be warned, if you get iced tea in it, the metal shrinks and it does leak a bit.
And my day did get a lot better!
Sorry about the crappy day but thanks for testing out the mug for us. Now to convince hubby I need that mug. We do have an 12th anniversary coming up next weekend. Although I am hoping he gets me an Ipod touch for that.
Ugh. Following a fight with a friend, I desperately needed something to lift my mood and this has done the trick. I always forget how much I love this tea until I make a cup. I let this one go for 3 minutes and 30 seconds, but I think that was thirty seconds too long. Will stick to 6 minutes on the resteep.
Preparation
This tea truly lived up to the description for me. So yummy. I don’t know if it’s a placebo effect or if the St. John’s Wort is at work, but I can’t help smiling when I drink this tea. I stocked up on it today because it will soon be gone (so sad!) but oh, I plan on resteeping the heck out of these delicious leaves.
The only complaint I have is that it is so easy to oversteep this and it gets so bitter. My go-to time is 4 minutes, because I like the blacks and oolongs a bit weak and the greens and whites a bit strong, but 4 minutes is definitely too long. This isn’t one I can do without a timer, I always mess it up and then I am so sad!

Thank you to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me some of this tea. It’s awesome!
This really tastes like a candy cane! Yummy! It has a pleasant sweetness, and a good amount of peppermint without being too minty. A really delightful blend.
Preparation
This is the first tea I’ve ever tried from DT, and this single experience alone kept me coming back for more. I remember the flavor being so indescribable, and the color being so ridiculously cool for a tea. It will always be one of my top favorites, and I will always have a stash in my cupboard.
Preparation
I’m hardly a pu-erh conoisseur but I only found this one to be rather mediocre. The flavour lacked much of the earthy flavour I’m used to associating with pu-erhs and what’s left was a tannic taste that reminded me a bit of leather. I’m also not sure where the description is getting ‘licorice’ from, I certainly couldn’t taste any!
Despite its faults, it does have good staying power, keeping its flavour well through three steepings.
Preparation
I got this tea in a sampler pack.
Having recently traded in my lattes for cups of tea, I was excited to try this one. Though the taste at the beginning was a bit odd, by the end of the cup, it tasted like more. This is a very satisfying cup of tea, that can easily replace any fancy morning coffee.
I may have to go and buy a bigger bag.
I think I scorched the leaves the last time, because the flavour was very bitter and dry. This time, however, it was absolutely delicious. This is such a calm, warming tea. I love the smokiness of the green tea and walnuts with just that bit of sweetness from the fruit. Bumped up my rating and will be indulging more often.
