This is definitely one of my favourite teas now! I find that the less I add to it, the better it is. Just a pinch of brown sugar and few drops of milk makes it JUST right and brings out that creamy, butteryness that others have mentioned here – simply delish.
Preparation
This tea sounded interesting, and there’s so many raving reviews about it that I had to give it a go.
When it’s dry I really get the vanilla more so than coconut, as well as the rum. What I like is that it’s more of the typical rum flavouring, without any bite from the alcohol.
After the water is added it gets even more smooth, with hints of butterscotch. The first time I made it, I used a bit less than 1.25 tsp with like 1 1/4 cup of water and I wanted the flavour stronger. So I made it with almost 2 tsps of tea the next time and it was perfect!
I don’t feel too bad using more tea than I usually would, because 100 grams of this fills your tin AND there’s a few cups left over in the bag.
Summer, summer, summer!!! This fruity tea is fantastic. JUST FANTASTIC. It will definitely be gracing my iced tea mug all summer. I think brewing it longer is better. Too short and it turns out kind of weak and is like fruity water. Really, anything with goji berries is bound to be good! :) I recommend brewing hot, then cooling it down for a nice afternoon pick-me-up.
Preparation
Summer weather is finally here and I have been seriously craving something fruity and iced. I find this nice and refreshing, if steeped really well with a bit of honey. That brings up my only problem with this – I have to use sooo much of it to get the flavour I want, like 4 heaping spoonfuls for one mug. (Although I will admit, my favourite mug right now is kind of hefty.)
This is the perfect drink to get me in the mood for warmer weather!! Every time I sip it, I think of the sun and green grass!! And of course goji berries and lemon.
I dare someone to smell this and not want to try some – it’s kind of like fruity lemonade with strawberry Pop Rocks candy, and a hint of melon underneath it all. You can’t help but take a little piece of it and have a nibble (they could seriously sell this as a trail mix).
This one is more expensive – it weighs more so you get less volume of the product compared to a lighter tea. Plus it calls for 2 tsp per cup ( a bit more than the average amount ). So I made this in a smaller cup with 1 big tsp and just left it all in my cup the whole time, and the results were delicious.
I love this one, because it’s a no brainer – throw some right in your cup ( I didn’t even use a strainer) and pour over hot water. It tastes great while it’s still warm – like a spring/summer version of the hot apple cider or mulled wine you’d have in the fall/winter. Then as it cools, it just pops even more in your mouth.
It’s energizing, refreshing, bright and delicious :)
The only reason I don’t give it a perfect score, is because it’s more expensive and won’t make as many cups as other teas would.
Preparation
I am so saddened by what I did to this tea. I accidentally cold steeped it for 2 and a half days and as a result, the tea tastes, well, off. This is one of my favorites, but I don’t taste anything except for a very strong, bitter white tea.
Damn.
I imagine the strength might go away but the bitterness would remain. I didn’t think it was possible either, but I’ve only done it twice, both with white blends, so that may be the issue.
I’ve had a cold coming on for ages now, so yesterday I reached for something that might help. Hey, even if it doesn’t, mind over matter, eh?
I don’t usually like my whites hot, but this was delicious. Lots of love for this little beauty. It’s light, refreshing, and fruity, but not overly so. I got a straight white tea from Teavivre, I might have to give it a go today!
Oh, how I love this tea. And it is saving my life on this hot day. I started my day with 3 L of this and a travel mug of Long Life Oolong in my fridge and, well, the travel mug and first L of this are gone. With no A/C, keeping hydrated is a must and I must say, I am doing it well.
I’ve always preferred my white teas chilled, my tongue is sensitive to heat and so when I drink them hot, the only flavor I get is, well…hot. But chilled, they take on a whole new delicious life. It’s light and fruity and perfect. I adore this tea.
