This is the first decaf black I have had. It is interesting. The black base tastes a little different than usual blacks. I am certainly getting the peach taste in this tea.
I guess I just feel like something is missing from this tea. haha….I guess it is the black tea!
I still like it and will certainly finish the 25g I have.
Preparation
Mmm so happy to have this back in my cupboard.
Chamomile is one of those ingredients that I don’t have too often, but I do enjoy it in this blend. The peach is also very tasty in here. It all blends fairly well together with the white/green base.
Preparation
Yum
Dry leaf smells like a fresh peach
Colour: light yellow
Smell: light peach flavour
1st steep: very delightful. I get the green and white tea tastes. At first, I could taste the peach and the chamomile seperately but then they blended together for a nice smooth taste.
2nd steep: 85degrees, 4minutes, less peachy and more chamomile taste with the white showing through more and the green less.
I can see this one becoming one of my favs from my local tea shop!
One thing that I love about green/white blends is that the second steep hardly ever tastes the same as the first. I like that!
Preparation
This is nice and smooth.
It tastes very similar to DAVIDsTEA Read My Lips. I would have to say it is a little creamier but less chocolate-y that DT’s version though.
Colour: nice light brown/yellow
The smell is just divine…..and the taste is good too. Light notes of chocolate, I taste a little of the black tea, and the mint coming forward in each sip.
Preparation
My first tea party day!! My friend who grew up in England and I had a picnic in the park and lots of tea throughout the afternoon. She brought some tea back to Canada from Turkey. We had 4 different teas today I think!
So on to the tea….I cold brewed this to have as an iced tea. This is not my favourite. It has a weird artificial taste. The aftertaste cold is slightly tropical, but only ok. Decreasing the rating a little.
After seeing a few people posting about tea parties, I just had to do it! And really, my British friend certainly knows about tea parties. We even had cucumber sandwiches!
Sounds like so juch fun! Sadly, most of my friends don’t care much about tea, so I don’t see myself throwing a tea party… but I would love to, so I must continue trying to convert them to this addiction of mine!
Backlogging: I finished this bag off and haven’t written anything until now. So I haven’t had it for awhile but wanted to log it.
This isn’t as sweet as I thought it would be. It is a tad bitter and astringent but I do really enjoy it.
It does smell very yummy vanilla.
Preparation
This is a good walnut tea. A little tad bitter but that is the way walnuts are supposed to taste.
Adding a smidgen of milk makes it a nice treat but I usually like my teas “naked”.
I don’t really taste the cloves or orange, but I do taste the cinnamon and it is a nice compliment.
Preparation
This was a fairly sweet flowery tea. Maybe a little bit too flowery. The pomegranate was buried beneath all the flowers.
Next time I will have to mix with a straight white so the flower isn’t quite as strong.
Preparation
This isn’t as good as I remember :(. Maybe my tastes have changed so much that I prefer natural tasting and ingredients in tea.
This is ok. It tastes like Tim Hortons peach juice just as Roswell Strange mentioned. I do get some apple notes as well. The rosehips are not overpowering and th chamomile is in the background.
Overall, quite thirst quenching!
I also cold brewed this overnight 1.5teaspoons.
This was sweet and refreshing.
I added a little sugar at the end, but I don’t think that it needed it.
This will make a nice spring/summer treat
Preparation
Sipdown!
I finished this one off with a cold brew. This is very refreshing, I didn’t add any sweetener and I didn’t find that it needed it. The slight tartness is what makes it so refreshing I think.
I might have to stock up on this for the summer!
I cold brewed this tea last night to see if I liked it better this way. What a difference!
It is so much better now. Sweet and yummy enough to not need extra sugar.
I will certainly only make it this way now.
There is still a little bit of a strange aftertaste, but it is tolerable now.
Upping the rating significantly
