found a very old bag hidden away, too shameless to resist. Obviously it tastes less fresh than before – in fact the lavender and lemon are barely there, overpowered my the mint. However it brings back memories of one of the first teas I fell in love with, because of the strange yet successful combination of herbs. I am buying a box as soon as I can…

Ooh, this tea is on sale at the grocery store this week—maybe I’ll pick up a box :)

Love it hot – very soothing. Have never tried it iced!

This is a good staple tea to me. I wouldn’t mind if it were a little more floral, though.

This tea has a nice balance of spices and is very good with peanut butter jelly sandwiches as well as desserts. Milk and a bit of sweetener round out a very full flavor. It’s not my favorite spice tea, but it still is satisfying. It’s also certified organic and fair trade (and relatively local for me), so it’s also responsible!

Light and fruity. Got better as it cooled down – so it would be much better as an iced than hot tea. Don’t know that I’d actually buy a box for myself, but it’s not bad.

Made off with this when the organic grocery in my neighborhood closed. Now I need to find out another place to get it, because it’s delicious!

This was a pretty tasty earl grey that I had with my Black River brunch. Would drink again.

A lovely earl grey tea, sweetened with sugar. Faint flavor/scent of lavender on initial steeping.

This company and its reviewers seem to talk a lot more about where their teas come from than they do about the tea itself (hmmm…). With good reason. I figured I’d give it a try anyway, being sort of a hippie, but this green is a particularly boring one and what flavors do come through are sort of unpleasant. Like a nasty, bitter citrus flavor. On the other hand, 10 cents of every purchase go to a “good cause” (I honestly hate that term; but if you’re into saving the Himalayan Kingdom, I guess you’ll dig it). Too bad they couldn’t back it up with a good tea.

Very Floral tasting today on this one. I’m drinking this while having lunch…on today’s menu…Dr. McDougall’s Vegan Curry Brown & Wild Rice Fruited Pilaf. Thought it would be a nice pair.
