Was very tired when dragging myself to my tea cupboard for my usual morning pot of tea, so I just grabbed my strongest black tea which happens to be an assam from Chado. Very rich.

Waking up with another black tea from Chado! This one is definitely the strongest out of my all my current teas from Chado.

Still sleepy so I’m trying another black tea. I haven’t had this one in a while.

Drinking this with a bit of milk. A habit I’ve recently picked up after weeks of having afternoon tea with my British friend. I have to brew my tea darker than usual in order for it taste decent with the milk.

Argh. I need something strong to keep me up to cram but soothing after what just happened during OT during the Sharks game.

Every time I make this I love it even more, with milk and a little bit of honey, it almost takes on a hot chocolate like flavor.

Make sure that what ever you steep it in that it has the ability to strain the very fine flecks of tea that this is made of. I have the bodum Assam teapot at work, and alot of the “leaves” get past the filter… When I used to get this at chado, they used a “sock” filter and that worked better, and the bodum chambord that I have at home works really well for keeping the liquor clear of the fannings.

easily my favorite tea.

This is the last darjeeling in my cupboard. Darjeelings are interesting because I think I prefer them straight than with milk. They always feel too light for milk.

I agree on the milk. Darjeelings drown under milk.

First tea of the first quarter. I sleepily packed this into my new tumbler and headed off to lab early this quarter. It definitely helped me stay alert for the morning. I managed to get three steeps out of this one.

Brewed this darjeeling very strong today — I did not have a productive three day weekend… thus far?

Yummy, rich flavor. Starting off my study session with a black tea, after which I’ll switch to a green to just keep me stable~

Starting out with my morning with a special FTGFOP darjeeling from Chado Tea Room in Los Angeles. I’ve been trying out black teas from India, since I’ve mostly drink green or oolong teas. I’m starting to find that I enjoy black teas as my wake up tea.
