On the 16th day of sipdowns,

This is the last of a handful of teabags I got in a swap with insanearcane awhile back.
I read last night that lemon juice helps offset earthy tones in green tea… so I decided to try that today with this one. In hindsight, that was an awful idea because I liked this one and adding the lemon juice also muted out the ginger and other spice notes that I enjoyed and it ended up tasting like coffee which was really really weird… it might work with other greens so I’ll have to try it but it definitely did not work with this one.

I had my second to last tea bag of this today, so this one is in a temporary sipdown phase.

This was very good, it definitely has a ginger kick to it which is why I enjoy it I think. This time I also tasted some citrusy, lemon and orange undertones which were wonderful! I’m glad I had the opportunity to try this out!

Normally I try to ration out my bagged tea for when I’ll be on the go but this morning I needed something with a little kick to get my butt in gear.
I tried my hardest to pick out all the flavors – it’s definitely got some spice to it (but just enough & not too much) and I can taste the ginger and maybe a bit of nutmeg/cinnamon/allspice action. The orange is subtle and I like that since I don’t care for orange in my tea, and the green tea base lets the flavors shine.

This is the second time I’ve had this one but I still haven’t been able to completely get a feel for the flavors. I got this one in a swap and its not one I would usually like but I do! Its got a nice, but not over powering and spicy, gingery flavor.
