Pleasing hybrid of black and green. Not very strong.

[AKA Dragon Well] ~ Very difficult to prepare (@ 158) so I can’t be sure it came out right, light and fluffy but very little to distinguish it, but what do you want for seaweed?

I only bought enough for a sample but it was a great experience. It smells wonderful, with a decent pan-fried taste.

Fascinating, but unfortunately I had a bad reaction to all that mint.

A magnificent fervor. The taste and texture are reminiscent of a more refined Oolong.

Scratch and Sniff Strawberry, the taste is faintly of strawberry but more importantly it has a woody texture.

About as subtle as they come. I steeped both warm and cool and got nothing. No taste or smell whatsoever.

Quite impressive. I wonder why i put off trying this for so long. Great bouquet and texture. [8/10] Addendum: possibly a different vendor from TeaGschwender as it’s not listed on either site.

Oh man, I cannot get enough of this tea. I have no idea what I will do when I run out!

First, the smell of the tea. It smells like a tea party. No joke. It’s one of the best smelling teas I have ever ever had! The strawberry takes over first, then the mint.

Now, the flavor of the tea. I love this tea with a small spoonful of agave. Stevia left a weird taste with it. Agave is perfect. You taste the mint first, then it slowly rolls to strawberry. The lavender soothes you, while the black tea gives you a nice afternoon caffeine kick.

I seriously would just live on this tea if I could. So good. Don’t pass it up.

I am really enjoying this one! The caramel is slight, as strawberry is predominant. Still balanced and tastes wonderful. This tea really satisfies one’s sweet tooth. :-)

This is a good tea. The lemon is not overpowering and it is very refreshing as an iced tea.

I love chocolate so when I read that this had hints of cocoa, had to try it. Was not disappointed. Adding a bit of Agave only made it better. Makes a great morning brew, starting the day off right.

I’ve been on a bit of a coconut kick this week. So, I plucked this one out of the inbox that I created next to my teapot. It smelled wonderfully of fresh coconut when I opened the bag and I set the timer and went to bed. 165/2 min.

It still smells delicious. The taste is nice. It’s not quite what I had hoped for. I thought I’d encounter a fresh coconut taste, as the aroma implied. However, it comes out as more of a sweetened coconut flavor. Like a Mounds candy bar. It’s a bit too much and it does overpower the sencha base, which is very difficult to discern. Still, it’s a nice tea, very slightly bitter, but overall very pleasant.

This tea was okay. It smelled really nice, very fruity and fresh upon opening the bag.

Boiling/2 min. – Now the smell has diminished significantly. Upon tasting the tea, it’s slightly bitter, but there is no frutiness to it anymore. I can still smell it slightly and it’s very barely there if I slurp the tea, but if I drink normally, it cannot be discerned. That’s a disappointment. So many of the black teas I’ve recently tried lose their flavoring once brewed.

This smells sweet, with a spiciness. I can make out the almond, marzipan scent.

Boiling/2 min – Also, I went with 3g/8 oz of water, even though I normally use 3g/6 oz. It smells very strong.

Now, once brewed, it smells very cookie-ish and sweet. Just like marzipan, actually. The taste confirms that this tea is indeed marzipan flavored, and quite well. How do I know? Because I detest marzipan! I bought this tea for my husband. So, I’m rating it according to how well I think the actual tea reflects what it is supposed to be, and the truth is that I hate this tea because it is exactly what it claims to be. My son loves this. My daughter just asked for more. My husband is happy, but wants it to be stronger. I want nothing more to do with it. So, I’d say it’s a success.

I think that this would make a very nice winter holiday tea. It’s spicy, tastes like marzipan and tea (actually, the black tea flavor – not flavoring – is very nice and is not bitter or overwhelming at all.)

This tea smells like toasty coconut. The funny thing is that it’s oolong tea with hazelnut and vanilla and I’m not a vanilla fan. Well, not usually.

I happen to love coconut, so I was hoping that the scent connected with the actual taste. 205/2 min later… The aroma is still there. That’s one hurdle down. Next to taste… Mmm. It does taste nutty, but the expected taste of coconut has morphed into what the tea claims to be… Hazelnut. Vanilla. Oolong. Nice.

Fortunately, the vanilla is not too overwhelming. The pairing of flavors here is nice. The oolong has an underlying strength. It’s not lost to the flavoring. Very nice.

2nd infusion – Today, I took a second infusion in a travel mug to work. It’s really good, even better than the first one. The flavoring is more muted and the rich oolong shines through. I’m very impressed and very happy.
