This tea sounded so good to me, and yet right now, it’s just not. I don’t know if it’s just me, or what. I might have oversteeped this one.

adagio breeze

Same here. I just brewed some for the first time and I’m not really feeling it – the most prominent taste is a metallic tang that seems to be building as I sip. Maybe my water was too hot.

I still really like this tea. It’s been a while since I have had it, but since I have so much of it still I need to be drinking it.

Stacy does such a wonderful job with the eggnog flavors.

I’m working from home today because my poor Penny cat isn’t doing so well still. He’s been sick for a while now. The latest round of antibiotics is giving him an upset tummy, and I think he’s throwing it up before it gets into his system. (We give it to him before bed, so we weren’t sure, but I’ve decided that he is indeed throwing it up too soon.) Now he’s not interested in treats, and if you know Penny, you know that’s not a good sign. Well, he’s not interested in some of the treats that normally he goes crazy for. So Penny and I are headed to the vet in a little bit.

Anlina

I hope your kitty is better soon!

donkeyteaarrrraugh

have you added probiotics to his food? I found that my cats recover from antibiotics much quicker if I use them. Vets will only prescribe FortiFlora, but there are better ones on the market that you can get from amazon. PM me if you want more info. good luck.

Cheri

Thanks for the suggestion, donkeytiara. He hasn’t been responding positively to the antibiotics, so we’re stopping them and trying an appetite stimulant and a round of steroids.

Marzipan

Could they give him an anti nausea? That helped Buddy.

donkeyteaarrrraugh

Oh, Those appetite stimulants made my cat start talking a lot and he hasn’t stopped. That was three years ago! Hope it works and keep us posted. We’ve used anti-nausea medication before and that has also worked. Keeping fingers crossed.

MushroomBugg

Aww. Hope he feels better quickly!

Cheri

Hahaha! He’s already a sassy cat who tells me how it is on a regular basis.

Kittenna

:( All too familiar with dealing with sick kitties. Hope everything turns out for the best.

Cheri

Comfort and quality of life is where it sounds like we’re at now. :( but I am not going to make him suffer so I get 6 more months with him. We’re hoping the steroids help him feel better for the time being. He is starting to eat more again, which is a very good sign.

donkeyteaarrrraugh

You are kind to be cognizant of the quality of his life for him, and not for you….he couldn’t ask for a better owner! At the end, it always comes down to 2 words: no regrets. PM me if you need to dump emotions…I’m a cat person that completely understands what you’re going through. :)

I don’t remember who I got this sample from. It was one I brought to work and had at my desk. I had one cup, and left the rest waiting for another day when that was what sounded good. And then I forgot about it.

Well, I found it and decided to have it this morning.

I didn’t like it. I normally love jasmine, but this just wasn’t good to me. I hope it was just this tea, and not jasmine teas in general. I have a good amount of jasmine teas but I haven’t been drinking them lately.

But this tea, BLAH. I think the base tea itself wasn’t good, and the jasmine tasted funny. Really strong, but not right. I dunno.

Ubacat

Maybe there was artificial flavouring added? If it was from real jasmine flowers it should be very mild and light.

Cheri

It’s Teavana, so who knows? My sample is gone now, so I’m not going to worry about it.

MushroomBugg

Well, there’s a positive spin. :) All gone, oh well! I hope you have something better to cleanse your palette today.

I had this tea at work today. I wish I’d written better notes, but I didn’t.

I really enjoyed it. Rich, not quite sweet, a touch earthy. This tea was comforting, energizing, soothing.

I loved the aroma.

I really like this tea a lot.

I’ve had a migraine most of the afternoon. We were on the road for part of it. I pulled my hoodie over my eyes and just tried to stay calm. Then I slept.

I’m awake again and my head is feeling better. The rest of me feels like I was hit by a truck. Migraines always do that to me.

Tea is part of what I need to feel better, something light. That’s why I picked this.

I really like this tea.

Mandy

This looks so intriguing

TeaTiff

I hope you get felling better.

Marzipan

The weather changes this time of year give me migraines :(

Cheri

Yeah, I’m not sure what triggered it, but it got me hard. I’m much better this morning, fortunately.

A treat from boychik

oh so smooth.

Some infusions seemed really sweet. Some seemed a little earthy. Some seemed both.

Rich and tasty.

Oh wow. Opening the sample packet, and I’m blown away by how beautiful the dry leaves smell. Rich and cocoa and sweet and delicious. That’s how it smelled.

The tea wasn’t as sweet as it smelled, but once I added a teeny tiny bit of sugar, it turned out pretty dang good.

birthday tea!

Okay, it was harvested on my birthday, so that’s why I’m calling it birthday tea.

Open the packet…wow…smells………AMAZING. Rich, fragrant, delicious.

The tea is pretty good, but not as great as it smelled when it was just the dry leaves.

I’m not sure about this tea. The dry leaf sure is pretty. The liquor sure is beautiful. The aroma is outstanding.

The tea itself…it’s a tad too astringent for me.

It’s kinda bready, but not sweet at all. And now my mouth feels funny.

donkeyteaarrrraugh

If it’s too astringent, try steeping a bit shorter time…. 3 min 30 seconds is sometimes good for the more astringent assams.

Cheri

I think I only did a 3 minute infusion as it was…. Ah well.

donkeyteaarrrraugh

musta been potent!! that’s a “hair on your chest” kinda assam!

This sample I had from @boychik with a little bit from @Cameron B. thrown in for good measure….well, to get a good measure so I had enough to try it gongfu.

I really liked it western. I really liked it gongfu.

This was good. Very good.

Malty and bready, but very chocolaty and almost sweet. I didn’t get sweet potato from it, but I could see that maybe that was supposed to be there. (I think I got that when I had it Western…I dunno.)

I’m enjoying this.

I’m trying to stretch it out, but I think most of the deliciousness is gone.

Bio

Still relatively new to drinking teas, or so I feel, even though I’ve been at it for several months now.

I’m drinking more and more of different varieties of tea.

It’s been a few months that I’ve been on here. I’ve expanded from greens and flavored teas to now I’m all about the oolongs and some unflavored blacks. I’m mostly drinking unflavored teas now, but there are a few of those flavored ones that have a special place in my heart.

Pu-erh is also something I’ve recently found that I enjoy.

I have four kitties and a spouse.
