26 Tasting Notes
A tier below the Maeda-en 88th Night 2010 Shincha in enjoyment. It has less complexity and depth and less elements of interest overall. Still nice to drink, but definitely prefer the 88th Night. I think this might get boring quickly with a larger sample as well.

Preparation
I thought it displayed excellent flavour purity, lifted fresh aromas and great balance on the palate. Really refreshing as well. One of my favourite Shinchas in 2010, just behind the O-Cha Sae Midori.

Preparation
Tried the 2010 Shincha version of this tea.
Vibrant colour. Fresh, lifted grass aromas and flavour. Great depth and texturally interesting. Beautiful tea, one of my favourite 2010 Shinchas.

Preparation
Earthy and seaweed style aromas. Definitely in the more astringent realm of green teas on the palate, there wasn’t much room for error with brewing – it was very easy to push the astringency too far. Interesting but temperamental. 75/100

Preparation
Nicely intense and fragrant aromas of dark chocolate and cedar. Palate has good depth and persistence. Interest comes mostly from its different style to many other Oolong teas that I have had.
