drank Bear Trap by DAVIDsTEA

Had a migraine and took a nap. Woke up and said…ok…let’s try this and see if I like the berry flavor… “I dare you Bare Trap to make me feel better”. Well, I DO like this. It’s not what I expected at all! The ingredients start with Elderberry and Apple but they are not heavy handed. The Lemon Verbena, Papaya, Strawberry, Blackberry, blueberry and so on…dark notes and light notes blended in such a way that you really do not get a screaming single flavor that drowns out everything else. What a delightful whirlpool of flavor in the mouth.. richness and a perfume that should be mulled in an open pot on the stove so that it can waft and fill the whole house (nice thing to do with used up leaves). Sweetened this but I did not add milk. Steeped 5 min. Not bitter at all. Uh What migraine?!

drank Creme Caramel Rooibos by DAVIDsTEA

I really liked this tea. Don’t know why others don’t unless they are not drinking it strong enough. You could almost pour it in the cup, add some sweetness and cream and stir it up…then pull up the spoon and sip a super goopy caramel vanilla lavish mouthfull of what can’t possibly be tea…but is! Loved it! And no caffeine! Give this another chance but make sure you add enough to the pot with enough time. Goody good! Made me feel like a kid with a Sugar Daddy (candy)!

I really love rooibos and the earthy qualities it gives! But I think the main problem to most people is that rooibos can be too weak at times and the number of times it can be steeped, some even might complain its too tangy or astringent..the list goes on. I basically in love with stuff, I enjoy chai varieties, tropical, flowery or just the raw of the rooibos, it can take so many flavors and not conflict with it making it very easy to experiment with! One thing for sure, that creme caramal rooibos of yours is really great, its not from DavidsTea but I certainly get what your saying. I love it!

drank Mulberry Magic by DAVIDsTEA

Ok but no bells and whistles for me on this one. I do like the mullberry fruit flavor which is sweet but the nuttiness tastes more like coconut than macadamia to me. Adds a depth and warm note that is nice but still, well…just nice as I said.

drank Read My Lips by DAVIDsTEA

If I had a Valentine I’d put on some red lipstick…Kiss um and serve READ MY LIPS and eat chocolate cake! This is soooo good! (don’t have an anyone like that but my grandsons think I’m special I just have to leave out the kissy part!). Today my Orthodox Priest and some family and friends are coming over for the annual house blessing. I have an extra new bag of this that I’ll have him take home to his wife and daughters (yes Greek Orthodox Priests can marry). …..continuation….the blessing is done…and while waiting for the Priest to arrive all my grandkids were into my tea’s sniffing away and oooohing and ahhhing….! Later when I gave Fr. Evan the tea he loved this scent and thought his wife would like this tea too.

drank Pink Flamingo by DAVIDsTEA

I hab a cold…snif.fle..sneeze…and just got my DAVIDsTEA shipment from Canada today…so against my better judgement (just knew this was not going to cut it) I did a 5 minute steep of this with some sweetening, no milk (yucky). Howdy Doody Hollywood! Almost had a miracle cure! Fantastic margarita madness citrus mandarin like those orange slice candies…you know the ones…gum drops. Made me feel better, not bitter.

One thing that I’ve tried before that I might do again in the Summer is simmer some tea like this one with honey, strain and enjoy. This is especially good with a tea that has habiscus and makes a slightly pink honey. Nice on berries with Greek yoghert or in a duller tea.

drank Strawberry Zabaglione by 52teas

So far I think this is really tasty. I’ve had 2 pours and like others before me I can say this is nice and strawberry flavored with creamy vanilla. No bitterness. It is best to add some sweetening and cream to make a good round rich desert. I’m not overwhelmingly blown away. I tried to enhance with some ground pink peppercorns but didn’t add enough. Will try again and get back with the results. I just think it needs some pop or punch. I like flavor that goes into more than 2 levels and this tea seems to stop at 2.

drank Checkmate by DAVIDsTEA

Tried this last night while watching TV. Had it with cream and slightly sweet on a 5 minute steep. Nice rich mocha coconut flavor without the coconut being too overpowering. Good drink on a cold evening. As I got to the second and third cup there was no issue with bitterness. I do think that the cream did help since I drink it strong. No problem with caffeine jitters either. This may not be my favorite but it is a go to hearty blend when you don’t want a fruity or vegital tea.

drank Goji Pop by DAVIDsTEA

Drank this again…this wonderful…yummy mouthfull of goodiness…oh yes Goji Pop…delicious ripe fruit and no over tartness or bitterness even if you let it steep long and pour once, twice, three times and you are the Winner! This is not a apple strawberry oh I’ve had this before tea. There is more ripe pineapple guava sunshine without being able to distinguish what it is that is so elusive. Like wine tasting…go figure it out for yourself. Good mood lifter. Can’t be grumpy with this one. My almost favorite!

Oh joy…mouth watering like one of those rainbow popcycles you had as a child with the orange and other fruit flavors all running together….sunshine. I like this best without milk and strong…a second steep and a third works…a bargain! Do sweeten to enjoy this tea fully. Iced or FROZEN will be awesome when the weather changes!

drank Monkey Fart by 52teas

I had to buy this for my 11, 9 and 7 year old grandsons who are way into tea. I mean MONKEY FART TEA! As soon as it arrived I rushed over and my daughter put on the pot to boil. (each boy has their own tea set) The first pour was too weak. Need to have enough tea and enough time steeping for good flavor but you can tell that this is a great creamy banana desert tea. You could play with other tea and make a variety of drinks with a tiny addition of some chocolate sprinkles. (Yep I know how to be a Grandma!)
