This tea is one that I like a lot, so was happy to get it as Day 3 of my Tea calendar. The tea brews up very pretty deep velvety ruby (hibiscus and beetroot) and also gives you a mini aromatherapy session. The tartness and slight sweetness balance well. I enjoy drinking this one hot or iced but sometimes it’s a bit acidic for me, so I have to limit this tea.

I’m not a fan of coconut in any form so I was surprised when I liked both the aroma and flavor of this blend. I could have done without the stevia, and wondered what this tea would be like with steamed milk. I’ll try my second cup that way.

brewed with 1.5 tsp and 8oz – the scale won’t recognize the measurement.

Green tea with quite a few additions, it’s probably 1/3 to 1/2 green tea. It’s quite pale and after brewing had a sheen to the surface of the tea, maybe from the candied bits of pineapple. The tea is sweetened with stevia. Unfortunately I think I’d like it better without that added sweetness and would prefer to add honey as needed.

I’ll finish my sample but I’m unlikely to buy this one to keep on hand.

In ‘flavors’ here it lists peppermint – please note there is NO mint of any kind in this tea. I hate mint and it also irritates acid reflux and GERD.

This tea is just like having a slice of banana nut bread. I ordered a cup brewed in the store so not sure of the tea quantity, but i’ve brewed two 16 oz. cups from the same bag. One thing about this tea though it that in order for it to really taste like brea, I kept the teabag in the entire time. The tea didn’t get strong enough for me until the 10-15 minute mark, but by then it was cool enough to drink. I will definitely buy some of this

I started getting into tea this year because coffee was causing a lot of acid issues, but now I’m converted over to tea! I started with the basics, thinking I preferred my tea plain(mainly because blends I was offered all contained things I dislike or tasted too weak), but in May 2017 a friend brought me into a David’s Tea store and I was bowled over. I’ve been completely off caffeine for 3 months to heal an inflamed GI tract, but now I’m able to drink small amounts of caffiene. I just found Steepster while looking for ways to organize my stash. I can’t wait to rate more teas and read other users ratings!

Likes: STRONG tea, hibiscus, nutty
Dislikes: anything mint, eucalyptus

My loose rating chart:
100-90 – Why am I not drinking this tea right now?!? Definite favorite, buy in mass quantities
75-89 – Loving this tea but not likely to obsess over. It would be good to have this tea on hand and have a cup every once in a while.
60-74 – OK. Wouldn’t keep it in the cupboard, but I would drink it again.
45-59 – If a friend served this I would drink it to be polite, but it’s not really my thing.
Lower than 45 – Um just no. Would not drink it again.
