807 Tasting Notes
This is a nice basic Ceylon. I love that it’s organic!
As Momo said it has some honey notes to it and is slightly cocoaish.
A little bit of a malty note.
Its nothing that will blow your mind with flavors but it is a rock solid morning black tea that I appreciate greatly! It has just enough flavor to make it special, without being overdone.
I will try this iced as well as suggested by Momo as I can in fact see this being excellent that way!
Thank you Utopia for this sample!
Thank you to Nuvola Tea for this sample!
Nuovla Tea always impresses me!
After the new year this is one of the companies I plan to make a good order with!
Here are some snippets from my upcoming review (scheduled at this time for December 24th on http://sororiteasisters.com/ )
Premium Taiwan Oolong Black from Nuvola Tea has a sinful aroma! It smells sweet, deep, intoxicating. There is a malty aroma cutting through the sweet aroma, then nutty, woodsy, so many wonderful sensations – and this is just the initial smell!
I love the complexity of this tea! On one hand its sweet and makes me feel like Willy Wonka in a candy shop but as soon as I find myself relishing in the sweet goodness this fresh breeze rolls in offering a light refreshing note of rock mineral and hay as if I am strolling through the woods on a sunny day.
This is a rare and wonderful delight and I highly recommend trying some tea from Nuvola! I know so far I have sampled about 5 of their teas and I have yet to find one that is less than stellar!
Thank you DaisyChubb for this tea which was her gift to those of us in the 12 days of Christmas exchange.
I am enjoying sipping on this today – just the right amount of cinnamon.
I don’t know if David’s Tea has changed their sweetener or if it is better in this one but I like this far more than a sample I had got months and months ago elsewhere.
It is such a pretty tea and very fitting for the day she was given which is day 5 – Five Golden Rings – Glitter and Gold – makes sense to me :)
Thank you BoxerMama for this DAY FOUR on the 12 days of Christmas exchange!
This is a really nice black currant in a good black base!
I do like H and S’s teas and this does not disappoint!
It smells really good too!
True to black currant in flavor without being artificial.
I may have to get some of this in the future.
Thank you again I loved the muslin bag you packaged the tea in!
:)
Tea like this is why I drink tea!
I do favor darker oolongs more than light ones but come on! This is INSANELY good!
I have written a long review for SororiTea Sisters site but let me just say YUMMMMMM!!
Here are some Sound Bites from my full length review:
A bit like a peach that is not quite ripe enough to be eaten yet but temping nonetheless. There is a subtle sweetness as well somewhat like honey but not cloying. A nutty note plays around but disappears quickly, lingering fresh asparagus, dandelion, and fresh flower notes prevail.
Things just slow down around you. I find myself not quite so annoyed by my doggies incessant barking at the neighbor’s dog, not quite so bothered by the television blasting noise from the other room, not quite so anxious. Through all that noise I rather am picking up on the birds chirping happily outside, the sun is steaming into the house more brightly, and I just feel peaceful.
Ohhhh Yes!! This is one of those teas that makes me realize how far I have come as a tea drinker.
I was interested in this one but ended up getting others instead. I’ll have to put this on my list now.
Another 12 Days of Christmas tea from LiberTeas she shared three great teas with us for her day – day 3.
This is a wonderful vanilla through and through – from Della Terra Teas of course.
I am a huge Della Terra fan – they have some of the best flavored teas!
Thank you LiberTeas for sharing not one but three yummy teas with us!
Thank you to LiberTeas for day three of the 12 days of Christmas Swap! This was only one of the three teas given. What a lovely tea! At first sip it reminded me of Della Terra’s 8 Candles and while its not exactly the same IF Della Terra should no longer offer 8 Candles after the holidays it may just be my substitute! The aroma is spot on for it!
It has a malty yet marshmallow like flavor.
Maple, vanilla, notes, VERY good!
Thank you again LiberTeas and what a cute way to package your teas for your day!
A Big THANK YOU to Ysaurella for sending me a healthy sample of this fine tea!
I adore this tea!
It is perfectly blended, NO astringency.
I taste notes of cherry, cinnamon, vanilla, almond, spice, and flowers but it is not overly floral and the spices are not taking over the cup!
These notes dance in perfect unison with each other and blend into one delightful cup.
I will be ordering more of this to have in my perma stash.
You can see my full review here: http://sororiteasisters.com/ on the 22nd.
I knew I had to try this tea as soon as I saw the name of it and I am thrilled THRILLED it did not disappoint!
I just got this as an early Christmas gift from my daughter’s fiancé! It is good, isn’t it? It smells divine…I may put the leaves in a warmer to scent the living room.
Thank you TassieTeaGirl for sending me this! This is SO delicious!
Now I love it hot but I can totally see why TassieTeaGirl likes it cold because it is SO yummy that way too! A real winner! A lovely sencha base makes it perfect.
I have not had theirs. There are many companies who do this blend and some are excellent while others miss. It is one of my favorite blends though when I get a good one like this. :)
