1271 Tasting Notes
I’ve noticed with both white teas I’ve purchased from ESP Emp. that the bai mu dan base is kinda stale and flat. It’s not like the juicy, delicate, lush, and slightly floral like other white tea blends I’ve had with other online tea sellers. Or I’m just spoiled.
The fruit combination was nice and sweetener helps pull out the pear flavor. Pear is nice in tea! I need to find more pear blends!

I was looking for a black tea this morning and I was surprised how much of this tea I have!
I made it as a latte with honey and soymilk. I think I didn’t add enough leaf, as it’s a little light on flavor, but still nice caramel flavor with some pumpkin.
Because its one of “those” weird mornings, I’m watching videos of people throwing bricks inside of running washing machines http://youtu.be/vROdVsU_K80
yeah. I don’t wanna show the husband. He might get ideas for the old washer.
Preparation
/stretch stretch
I escaped brazilian jiujitsu practice with mat burn on both feet! Not bad, no sprained fingers! Though, very sore all over from 2.5 hours of working out.
This is the first time I enjoyed waiting for a long steeping 6.5 minutes this time! I did stretches while I waited for my tea and feel much better!
The taste? Very good, I love the banana taste and the creamy caramelly flavors. Totally worth steeping this one for extra time!
After this cup, I’m gonna crash to get ready for 9am jiujitsu practice!
Preparation
Having a cup of Momoko to get pumped up for 2.5 hours of brazilian jiu jitsu practice! Yeah! Pump myself up with positive thoughts that I won’t get injured this week!
Good tea – super creamy with a hint of peach. Hmm, maybe I shoulda chose something more energizing like a citrus, ginger or tart tea? Ehhh, this is still good!
Preparation
I received a sample of this tea from Kasumi no Chajin! Yay!
I steeped this up while I’m boiling eggs for lunch and picking off tea tin stickers. Yep, totally glamorous.
Of course, I didn’t add enough water, so it was really strong and bitter until I topped off my cup with some more water. Now I think I got too much water in it! I didn’t add that much extra water!
The green is has a bit of butteryness and I get a bit of tangyness at the end. A little echo of fruity, but I’m not sure what.
Looking at the pic here on Steepster, the packaging looks cool! Yeah, ROCK TEA! Contains no actual rocks though.
Preparation
What? I’m the first to tea log this tea?
Very juicy, refreshing, fruity and citrusy! Lots of fruityness going on in this tea with some gigantic cherries! I was worried this tea was going to be too hibiscusy, but Steep City did a great job balancing the hibiscus with the citrus and berries. This tea has a slight tart, having the berries and lemon tasting fresh.
I got a good resteep out of this tea – which showed off the savory green tea.
However, Agua di Jamaica shines when iced! The berry flavor pops and is very delicious! I can feel the sunshine and vitamins! I know I’m going to drink this tea like crazy during the hot california summer!

Hibiscus Lightning! /ZZzzzZzap!
Preparation
How is this tea so good? This is becoming one of my favorite fruity black teas!
Especially in the morning when I’m really tired and stumbling around the kitchen and knocking stuff over. I’m hoping I can get some more of this soon – I’ll need to convince my husband to take me to the Lupicia store again!
Preparation
My first gyokuro! What an experience! Such a beautiful tea with that lush emerald colour. Isn’t that colour “in” right now in fashion?
I made sure I was very awake for this tea so I didn’t mess up steeping. Overall, very good mix of buttery, sweet and veg – but I didn’t like the astringency, as I’m not a fan of astringency at all.
Cold steep? MAGICAL!
With that said, I really don’t know what to rate this tea as.
Full review on my blog, the oolong owl. I took lots of pics!

Preparation
Glad you finally tried it! I live this one! I find it to be very delicate. Try cooler water and less leaf. That’s how I like mine. Cold brew is my fave though. :)
noo, the den’s instructions! I had another person tell me after to drop the water to 100 or 120. I’ll try again if I can acquire another sample or save up for a purchase.
okay I lied, there’s an oolong sample I’m sipping down as well, not just greens!
I did the western style steeping.
Whoa, this is super buttery! There’s a bit of sweetness and some vegetal too! The spinachy vegetalness is very very yummy! I spent awhile just lightly sipping away, zoning out on youtube videos.
resteep – very good! The butteryness is still there, creamy texture with some floral peeking out. Floral? I love floral! Very addicting flavor that I wanna just keep sipping away at!
This resteep is refreshing too!
I do love my gui fei oolong, but this Sparrow Tongue one is pretty good! shopping liiiiiisst!
I think I’m waking up finally! yay! I might be ready to move onto teas that take more attention!
Preparation
Alright! I really need to drink all these green tea samples that are hopefully still good! And if I got time, putting a dent in my other unflavored greens!
Mmm, this one is very juicy, veggie with a hint of dryness at the end.
I also got some other weird flavors, like a fruity – which was probably from contamination NOOOO! Quickly, drink the other samples!
