Ah, the last of the free teabags! I feel somewhat accomplished today in working on getting my tea under control. Sure, I’ve got a bit to go to finish off all of my one- and two-cups-worth-of-leaves teas that I have have, but I’ve made progress! And had 6 different teas today! Why, no! I’m not caffeinated at all!
Samovar has ruined me for any genmaicha + matcha. This one is just plain and boring. No thick, creamy flavor. Just a murky cup of neon green, puffed rice tasting, thinnish tea. I want more punch! I want more creaminess! I want Ryokucha.
Meh.
ETA: As it cools, it almost tastes like I made this with funky tasting water. Which I didn’t. So that would be the tea. And even though the flavor seems weak, the bottom dregs of the cup were bitter. Yeah, that takes if from a ‘meh’ to something slightly unhappier.

YAY!!!!! Now I just have to decide what to have… But the Zojirushi is on 175 so something with that temp (since I’m impatient).
The comment here about the Zojirushi made me laugh…I find myself doing the same dance…‘okay…I can have this one and this one, and then I’m going to be held over long enough to heat it up, probably..’
It seems like it’s the time of year to clear out small amounts of tea. Several of it seem to be doing in it. New Year’s resolution? Or desire to buy more tea? =)

I actually try to do this every so often but this is the most successful I’ve been to date. Mostly, I just ignore the teas I don’t love and they just sit in my pantry and take up space. Or I save the ones that I love and don’t want to run out of so they just sit there and get old. But now I will drink them ALL!!!!

Nah, you can take credit for the ruination… after all, you sent me the tea. I never would have picked it out of Samovar’s lineup as something to try. But now? <3
