I have this on hand for my tiniest tea guests. I tried it for the first time today. They love it! I think it tastes like a Cherry Luden’s cough drop melted in hot water! Or maybe cough syrup. It isn’t BAD, I suppose, but I wouldn’t choose it myself. I didn’t even realize it was a rooibus base until I checked the tin today, AFTER I had sipped it. I thought it was their usual decaf black tea base. I tried it with a little sugar the way my friend’s children drink it, and it didn’t taste quite as much like medicine to me. It seemed to neutralize some of the apple flavor.

Bio

I am a music teacher, tutor, and former homeschool mom (25 years!) who started drinking loose leaf tea about fourteen years ago! My daughters and I have tea every day, and we are frequently joined by my students or friends for “tea time.” Now my hubby joins us, too. His tastes have evolved from Tetley with milk and sugar to mostly unadorned greens and oolongs.

We have learned so much history, geography, and culture in this journey.

My avatar is a mole in a teacup! Long story…
