I was recently staying at a hotel that had a variety of teas so I thought I’d grab one. I ended up bringing it back home and tried it at work. Maybe it was the travel or maybe it was old, but the scent was less lemongrass and more lawnmower. It wasn’t terribly pleasant.

This is okay for an echinacea tea. I prefer the one by Celestial Seasonings more (besides a better taste, it includes zinc, another really good supplement for cold prevention), but this gets the job done.

I didn’t have super high expectations for this tea, but was pleasantly surprised. The ingredients say 100% chamomile, so I guess I just like chamomile in general.

The troubles with the tea bags continue. With very little force I tugged on the tea tag to lift it out of the cup and the string pulled right out of the bag.

I thought this was quite an enjoyable cup of tea. My hubby is not a fan of many teas and he really liked this one. I steeped it according to the package directions but may go longer to try and get more of the caramel flavor.

This is a really tasty way to drink your maté. My only complaint is that the tea bags themselves don’t lend themselves to squeezing. One time I squeezed the bag after steeping and it came open slightly, letting the contents escape into my mug. I don’t think I squeezed any harder than usual, but perhaps.

I use this when I’m feeling a cold coming on – I swear by echinacea and zinc as cold prevention remedies so this just makes a good addition to the supplements I already take. This is nice when you’re feeling a bit crummy and a hot cup of tea sounds good. I actually find it very similar to the Celestial Seasonings Tension Tamer, but perhaps a bit more minty in the aftertaste. I don’t drink this very often because I prefer to have it on hand when I feel like I’m catching a cold.

I needed a new tea for the office and thought I’d try out the infamous Morning Thunder from Seinfeld. The roasted, smoky flavor is really intriguing. It made me feel quite alert yet relaxed at the same time if that’s possible. I’m definitely developing a taste for maté.

I am an herbal fan so I really enjoy this one. I’ve found (by accident) that the longer you steep, the sweeter it gets. I don’t have to cover it up with sweetener. It’s definitely heavier on the ‘cinnamon spice’ component than the apple component.
