15 Tasting Notes
The aroma was very strong, pleasant, and calming. Jasmine is always one of my favorite flavors/scents in tea. The professor for my tea class served it in class last week, which is why I don’t have the prep info listed. The flavor was a little stronger than some of the other jasmine teas I have at home, which I enjoyed a lot. There was a very slight bitter aftertaste, but nothing too bad compared to some others I’ve tried. I didn’t add sweetener or anything else to it.
Flavors: Floral, Green, Jasmine
I wouldn’t recommend this tea by itself when unsweetened, but I would still recommend it overall since it does mix well with other teas if you like to experiment. I used to love mixing this with more floral or fruity/floral teas from Teavana before they closed. It has a pretty bitter aftertaste so I tried adding 2 spoonfuls of some wildflower honey and that helped a lot. (I should probably mention that I normally prefer my teas sweetened.)
Flavors: Floral, Vegetal
Preparation
I normally prefer my teas very strong, so the flavor was almost too subtle for my taste. Even so, the aroma was strong and the flavor was still pleasant. I didn’t taste the strawberry and rhubarb very much, but it was more present in the aroma. The grassy and floral aspects were more present in the taste.
Flavors: Floral, Green, Rhubarb, Strawberry
Preparation
I don’t normally drink jasmine teas by themselves, since I love mixing jasmine teas with others. I added 1tsp of rock sugar and it was almost too sweet, but still very nice. The jasmine oolong is always very calming so I like to drink it after work or before going to sleep.
Flavors: Jasmine
Preparation
Since this tea is usually sold in 1mg packets, and because the strawberry flavor adds a decent amount of sourness to it, I feel this tea is better used in smoothies. The sour aftertaste is very strong and kind of overpowers the earthy flavors matcha normally has.
Flavors: Astringent, Grass, Sour
