This tea is so cute! I’m a sucker for sprinkles, especially purple heart shaped sprinkles. I added a bit of honey, and I wish I didn’t because it made the cup a bit too sweet. It is a really nice candied raspberry flavor though! Just a hint of lemon, which I’m guessing would be more distinct if I didn’t add the honey.

I really like the lavender Deb uses- it’s sharp and intense. This blend is no exception. The bergamot works really well with the lavender and maple.

This cup wasn’t perfumey and synthetic like the last one was, which I was extremely happy about. The key seems to be under-leafing the cup a bit. Adding a bit of honey brings out the creaminess.

Enjoying this with some honey. Really smooth, no bitterness. Cardamom flavor is extremely strong.

Not much to add since my last note. Piney, with a bite. A bit peppery.

Added honey and a splash of oat milk to this cup, and as a result I’m not getting any of the subtle smokiness. Still an absolutely delightful vanilla black tea.

This actually tastes like strawberry banana flavored juice mixed with a rather astringent green tea. Not really a flavor profile that I love.

Why are there not more flavored hojichas? This is so tasty-slightly burnt caramel and cinnamon, with a bit of cardamom and ginger in the finish.

Shae

This sounds really good! I don’t know if I like hojicha, but I think I have some blends from 52Teas that I haven’t opened yet. Might have to try one and see if it’s something I’d drink, because I would for sure buy some of this one based on your description if it was a black tea.

Dustin

I feel the same way! I need more flavored hojichas and genmaichas!

This just tastes like stale watered down coffee. Not quite understanding the name related to the ingredients. Another tea going into the swap pile.

tea-sipper

Ouch. Almost had this one today. I suppose I have to try it sooner or later…

Shae

Has anyone found a coffee-flavored tea that doesn’t taste like watery coffee? I haven’t, but I know I’d love it if it was done well.

Shae

Also, sorry you had to drink this. Gross.

I like when the coffee flavor is with puerh – so something like Bird & Blend’s Coffee Puerh or the blend from Davids (might be discontinued now). Actually I’m drinking Tealyra’s Java Espresso right now which is black tea/roasted yerba mate/ chocolate chips/cinnamon/coffee flavor… but that is gone now too.

I quite liked Jet Black from August Uncommon.

Shae- I actually really like Affogatea from Bird & Blend and Cardamom Macchiato from DavidsTea.

Shae

Thanks, everyone! Going to look at each of these now. :D

I really like B&B’s Fairytale of NY!

Shae

This is the one from Tealyra, tea-sipper? I couldn’t find it on Steepster, but this looks like the same flavors.

This just isn’t for me. The rooibos is very much at the forefront, with a bit of a toasted rice flavor, and tons of salt. This will be going into the swap pile.
