1800 Tasting Notes
I’m working on sipping through the teas I have at work, so I don’t have to bring too many back home. This is one of them (I’m down to 2-3 cups remaining).
I’m still confused about where the violet went. After the initial first couple cups that were incredible, subsequent cups lacked any violet and became a bit lackluster. The elderberry/smoky combo is still nice, just not what I’m looking for in this tea.

Mixed the sample packet I had of this with the sample packet of Heritage Blend, for no reason really than to get some more sip downs in. Even with the over-leafed mixture of both teas, there isn’t much flavor. The black base is very brisk, and there is a bit of maple. But, no apple and no cinnamon.
Just finished off a 25g pack, down to 6 or so more packs. I love having lots of this on hand, as it’s really comforting and I prefer a drastically over-leafed cup. So rich and chocolatey.
This last week has been quite strange. I’ve been looking for a new job for over a year…transitioning careers is tough stuff. Very happy to say that I finally received a job offer at my dream company and I’m starting next week.
Soon after receiving that news, I found out my grandma unexpectedly passed away. So, any joy I was feeling about my job was completely eradicated. My grandparents had a huge hand in raising me, so I’m still in a bit of shock about it.
Life is strange and difficult.
I’m so sorry about your grandma, Amanda. <3 Finding and landing a job with your dream company is so amazing – I hope you’ll be able to celebrate when the time is right.
Thank you for the kind words, everyone. Reading tasting notes on Steepster is a really lovely escape, and I’m thankful for you all.
I am sorry for your loss. Life has got different and often diffucult path for us all! That said, congratulations to getting the job in the dream company!
I’m so sorry for your loss Amanda, these losses are never easy and I hope that the success in your job transition can be something to bring a little joy.

This was a lingering packet from the advent that I just never really felt like drinking. But, I woke up with a bit of a sore throat, so it seemed like an appropriate time to finally drink it. I added a bit of honey, and it’s fine. Pretty much as average as a peppermint tea can get. Not candy cane at all. Just peppermint.

Still sipping through all of the Ette samples Dustin sent. Very glad to have been able to try so many! This is probably one of my favorites of the Ette blends I’ve tried thus far. There is a prominent toasty/roastiness. The pandan and coconut peaks through at the end of the sip, with a tiny bit of spice lingering in the throat.
