The apricot flavor in this is just so delightful. Love having some of these tea bags at work, an easy grab and I’ve found it pretty unfussy to brew, which has also been nice for work.

Flavors: Apricot, Citrus Zest

Finished off a bag of this and I have 1 left. Really delightful cherry flavor!

This is okay. Not my favorite vanilla blend but not bad by any means. Would probably be better with sweetener/milk.

Sipdown 23 – 2024

A few years ago I got really sick of any type of roasted oolong, so I stopped buying them entirely and haven’t had one in a while. This is a good reminder of why I don’t like them. The roast flavor covers up the tea itself and I just can’t taste anything except the roast.
The roast on this is light but it’s still so dominant that I can’t taste anything else.

Flavors: Charcoal, Roasted

Leafhopper

This is also why I don’t gravitate toward roasted oolongs. It’s rare to find one where you can taste the tea.

Yup, still kind of tastes like generic red fruits.

This was fine. The black base was actually better than expected and the maple flavor wasn’t too overwhelming or cloying.

drank Sweet Potato by 52teas

Had my first cup of this lovely blend in a while and it was so tasty. Nice starchy sweet potato quality that pairs well with the sweet potato notes in the base, with a touch of warming spices.

Flavors: Brown Sugar, Cinnamon, Sweet Potatoes

This smells absolutely incredible- white chocolate and jasmine. It actually reminds me of one of my favorite fragrances (Nightgown by Solstice Scents which has very similar scent notes to the flavor profile in this blend).

Just a beautiful scent and beautiful flavor.

Flavors: Creamy, Jasmine, Marshmallow, Vanilla, White Chocolate

Another acquisition from Paris.

This definitely benefits from a shorter steep time, as it starts to get bitter right around the 2 minute mark. Not quite pancake, but definitely banana and maple. But not gross, cloying maple that is so often found in maple flavoring. This is quite pleasant- more of a brown sugar, caramelized flavor. The banana flavor is quite mild.
This would probably be really nice with some sweetener and milk.

Flavors: Banana, Brown Sugar, Caramelized Sugar, Maple Syrup

drank Pecan Pie by Dammann Frères
1796 tasting notes

Bought this is Paris and just now getting around to trying it. I don’t know if I’d describe the flavor as pecan pie necessarily, but it’s definitely some kind of nutty baked good. Maybe more almond/marzipan in a pastry crust. I like it, but I got a touch of a medicinal aftertaste that wasn’t great.

Flavors: Almond, Marzipan, Pastries

Definitely it’s more almond than pecan.
