1789 Tasting Notes
I remembered really enjoying this tea (I stocked up on quite a bit last year, and just bought another 4oz because it was so cheap). I love the sage, combined with the candy-like lemon. This last cup was pretty bitter though, for some reason. Didn’t finish the cup and dumped it, which was unfortunate, because I was looking forward to the flavor that I remembered.
Thanks to Kawaii433 for this! Very glad I got to try this one. I’m primarily getting deep prune and raisin notes. There’s a bit of spice that balances the dried fruit flavor out very nicely. I enjoyed this one, but I’m finding I like more chocolate/malt leaning black teas.

Wow. Another extraordinary offering from Whispering Pines. A huge thanks to Kawaii433 for this one as well. This is absolutely decadent. Pure chocolate and malt. Rich, creamy mouthfeel. It holds up to multiple steeps, but I found the first steep to be my favorite.
Flavors: Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, Malt
This is really just as described. A slightly grassy (albeit very mild) green base, with vanilla and cardamom. Both the vanilla and cardamom are strong and distinct, and work very well with the green tea. I really do like this one, but find it a bit boring, and probably won’t be purchasing it again once my sample is gone.
Received this in my January subscription from Bird and Blend, and was very excited, as it’s one I’ve had my eye on. The aroma was full of juicy fruits, and the flavor was surprising pineapple forward. I could definitely taste the chamomile, but it worked in harmony with the fruit notes. Luckily I know that valerian root has a very intense effect on me, so I drank this at bedtime. It felt like I was tranquilized (in the best possible way), and I ended up having a very, very restful sleep. I’m very glad I got to try this one.
I love this one! I definitely considered stocking up. I just have soooo much tea.
The too much tea struggle is real!
