1796 tasting notes

The September Mansa Tea Society offering. I’ve been quite busy, so I wasn’t able to join the live September or October tea tastings. I’m just now getting around to watching the recorded September tasting and experiencing this tea.
I don’t think I’ve ever had a Korean black tea before, so I was excited to experience this.
Deep dark chocolate, dried fruit, and tobacco in the finish.
Like a dark chocolate covered cherry.

Flavors: Cherry, Dark Bittersweet, Dark Chocolate, Dried Fruit, Stonefruit, Tobacco

I was just looking at the Mansa website and saw a tea called Boseong. Do you think these could be one and the same? It does say it’s a Korean black tea.

That definitely looks like it could be it! I’m particularly leaning towards yes, with the “vintage” year they have listed, as I believe that’s when I first got it.

Hello! I live in Los Angeles with my boyfriend and 3 cats [+however many foster cats I have at the moment]. I’m also obsessed with all things spooky.

I became obsessed with the world of tea through DavidsTea years ago. I love to try new brands, so I’m constantly on the look out for new-to-me companies.
