Working my way through a mountain of Teavivre samples. This one is absolutely delightful and I will certainly be repurchasing it (at some point). It’s malty, with notes of sweet potato and turbinado sugar.

My favorite Keemun for breakfast!

I loved the idea of large pieces of fruit leather being used to flavor a tea…I don’t think I’ve seen that before. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t really work. I’m getting a lot of the sulfur dioxide flavor, which isn’t pleasant.

Honestly, I drank this a few days ago and don’t remember much about it. I remember it being malty and enjoying the cup, though!

Catching up on tasting notes from the last few days. This smells lovely! The jasmine is nice and strong, with just a bit of a sweet peach scent peeking through. I found the peach flavor to be barely noticeable, and much too mild. I’ll have to try it again with a bit of sweetener to hopefully bring out more of the peachiness. Still a nice jasmine flavor, though.

I don’t drink straight greens very often, but when I do I want them to taste like this one. Grassy and vegetal, with a rich nuttiness. Catching up on tasting notes from the past few days, so don’t have much to say about this one.

Yep, Laoshan is the gold standard green for me.

drank Hanami Imperial by THEODOR

Thank you to Dustin for sharing a sample of this! The cherry blossom aroma was stronger than the cherry blossom flavor. Very, very mild. The green base was smooth and lacked any bitterness, but not complex or rich enough in flavor.

I got a bit sick of this by the end of the sample packet. Goodbye strawberries and butter.

Just a sample simp down…but it still counts! Another tea I finished a few days ago. It was a perfectly nice lavender earl grey, but didn’t really stand out for me. The lavender was really dominant, which I like. But, the lavender used wasn’t my favorite.

I finished this off a few days ago, and don’t have much to add. But, it was tasty and I’m sad to see it go. Considered getting more, but I still have a couple different 52Teas banana blends on hand, and I absolutely do not need to add more to my cupboard.

drank Auburn by Chroma Tea

This is probably my least favorite of the Chroma blends I’ve tried. The goji/elderberry fruitiness is just not working with the heavy spices. The cinnamon, ginger, black peppercorn, and clove are most distinct, with the fruit lingering in the aftertaste. I was hoping to taste the cypress oil, but alas.

Flavors: Berry, Black Pepper, Cinnamon, Ginger, Goji
