I really wish this was better. It’s such a cute blend- tiny pumpkin sprinkles, popcorn, and cinnamon sticks. But, it just tastes so mehhhhh. It’s vaguely mapley, but very muted and basic tasting. Trying to sip through it so it’s gone.

Awww that’s a shame, it is so cute with the popcorn and sprinkles! And maple sounds delicious. :(

:( Always a shame when a cute tea doesn’t measure up to expectation!

This was better than I expected. It has a very mild bergamot flavor, with a sweet candied lemon being the most prominent citrus. Not something I need to have again, but not bad.

This tea isn’t for everyone, but I love it. It’s smoky, marshmallowy, and wonderful. Such a lovely tea for Halloweentime.

tea-sipper

that sounds like just the tea I have been looking for!

Yup….still not loving this one. Going in the swap pile. It’s like a cinnamon apple candle. Nothing special, unfortunately.

drank Sticky Honey Chai by T2

I’ve always preferred the Bird & Blend sticky chai over this one…but I’m out of the B&B version, and I need to work on sipping through this. Made on the stove with 50% cashew milk/50% water. Brought the milky water mixture to boiling, added a ton of the tea (did not measure) immediately turned off the stove and left the mixture to sit for about a minute. I also added extra honey, because I remember the mixture being not quite sweet enough previously.
This was actually way better than past attempts! Actually…it’s incredibly tasty. The cinnamon and ginger are nicely balanced, and the black base wasn’t bitter at all. The cashew milk and extra honey were excellent additions.

Of the Bird & Blend pumpkin blends, I’ve always preferred Baby Spice over this. It just never turned out the way I hoped. But, I decided to open a sealed 20g packet from last year’s subscription to try it again. Glad I did! I added a bit of buckwheat honey, and it’s absolutely delicious. It tastes like actually pumpkin (rather than most pumpkin teas, which always have such an odd flavoring- usually either weirdly fruity or like fizzy cola). The clove and ginger are really nicely balanced with the squashy tasting pumpkin. Not sure what was happening the other times I tried it( which was multiple because I so desperately wanted to like it).
It also smells like a baked pumpkin covered in ginger. Yum!

The name and image on the tin still make me laugh. Sadly I don’t think these little Adagio tins maintain flavor very well, because most of the Halloween teas I bought from Adagio last year are really starting to lose their flavor (way more than any other tea I have, and I have some that are significantly older than a year). Kind of a muted/nondescript cinnamon flavor. Like someone swirled a cinnamon broom around in water.

Ya, I found those particular Adagio tins are all glitz and completely impractical, both for scooping the tea out and keeping the air out to maintain flavor.

Shae

Definitely impractical for scooping!

amandastory516

Yes, the scooping is very annoying! I always end up just trying to dump it directly into my steeper and tea inevitably falls everywhere.

Sometimes I wish I could tell customers to kiss my fat pumpkin ass :)

Yup, this is smoky. I’m not getting any hazelnut or apple. Just smokeeeeee ( and maybe a little bit of cinnamon/cloves). But mostly BBQ smoke.

I was craving green tea (which is a rarity) so made a small Yunomi order. This was included as a sample. It’s tasty, but not something I need to purchase. I’ve terrible at picking out notes in green tea- but this is light and vegetal. Mild and easy to drink.

This cup had the most vanilla I’ve experience with this tea- makes sense as it was the bottom of the pouch. Also much less vegetal, and more of a dark baked bread flavor. Really nice, as are all Whispering Pines vanilla blends, but I prefer Golden Orchid or Cocoa Amore.
