Mastress Alita’s Monthly Sipdown Challenge: a black tea
This is an easy prompt for me to accomplish. I drink black teas nearly everyday. Working on sipping though this, as it’s not my favorite. (This is also not the 2018 varietal, but I didn’t want to make yet another page for the same tea).
I actually find the rich, chocolate notes less pronounced than in the standard Laoshan black. I’m getting more of the white floral notes, with a hint of chocolate. This also smells sugary sweet- like turbinado sugar.
Flavors: Cedar, Chocolate, Floral, Osmanthus, Sugar, Tobacco
Mastress Alita’s Monthly Sipdown Challenge: a cherry tea
I remember really enjoying this last time I had it (which was probably about 2 years ago). But, this is not good. No cherry, just that terrible fake chocolate flavor that I despise in teas. This was a sealed sampled that was given to me, so not sure how this went so wrong.
Still a bit left in the packet, but I’m putting it into the giveaway pile, and thus counting it as a sipdown.
Mastress Alita’s Monthly Sipdown Challenge: a tea with a name that begins with a Periodic Table abbreviation
This is probably one of my favorite of Deb’s blends. Tastes like a delicious blueberry almond muffin. There is a definite baked/pastry quality, with the blueberry and almond matching in intensity.
