1522 Tasting Notes

This didn’t turn out quite as I expected/hoped. The vanilla scent is definitely there, but I’m not getting any vanilla in the flavor. This is quite a malty/raisiny Assam, but unfortunately doesn’t deliver on the vanilla.

Mastress Alita’s Monthly Sipdown Challenge: a tea flavored like a favorite snack food
Sipdown 7/22-2022

This isn’t as tasty as I remember it….probably because I made this straight, rather than as a latte like I had done before. Not really tasting any peanut butter, more vanilla and chocolate.

Never really connected with this. Found it sharp and slightly bitter.

Never really got eggnog out of this, but I thought it was a tasty coconut black tea.

Mastress Alita’s Monthly Sipdown Challenge: a black tea

This is an easy prompt for me to accomplish. I drink black teas nearly everyday. Working on sipping though this, as it’s not my favorite. (This is also not the 2018 varietal, but I didn’t want to make yet another page for the same tea).

I actually find the rich, chocolate notes less pronounced than in the standard Laoshan black. I’m getting more of the white floral notes, with a hint of chocolate. This also smells sugary sweet- like turbinado sugar.

Flavors: Cedar, Chocolate, Floral, Osmanthus, Sugar, Tobacco

Mastress Alita’s Monthly Sipdown Challenge: a cherry tea
Sipdown 1/16-2022

I remember really enjoying this last time I had it (which was probably about 2 years ago). But, this is not good. No cherry, just that terrible fake chocolate flavor that I despise in teas. This was a sealed sampled that was given to me, so not sure how this went so wrong.

Still a bit left in the packet, but I’m putting it into the giveaway pile, and thus counting it as a sipdown.

Mastress Alita’s Monthly Sipdown Challenge: a tea with a name that begins with a Periodic Table abbreviation

Ba

This is probably one of my favorite of Deb’s blends. Tastes like a delicious blueberry almond muffin. There is a definite baked/pastry quality, with the blueberry and almond matching in intensity.
