1800 Tasting Notes
Can’t go wrong with a genmaicha blend from 52Teas. Though, this isn’t my favorite. The nutty genmaicha flavor is at the forefront, with the creamy peppermint being more secondary. Still delicious, but not something I need to purchase again.
Flavors: Creamy, Marshmallow, Nutty, Peppermint
I had first tried this blend years and years ago when I was first getting into tea through DavidsTea. I remember enjoying it, but not much else. I decided to grab some with a reward a couple months ago, and just opened up the bag.
Smells absolutely delicious- super strong, fresh coconut. Tastes just as delicious. A bit of bright, green oolong. But, mainly coconut. Very authentic tasting and not at all artificial.
I wasn’t super confident when I placed an order from Culinary Teas, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by quite a few of their blends. This is one of them.
It smells just like a freshly baked cinnamon roll- sweet cinnamon and pastry dough.
The flavor is much more subtle, which I like. The black base really shines through, with just a touch of the cinnamon pastry peaking through. Love that it’s a cinnamon pastry, rather than a red hot or Saigon cinnamon flavor.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Pastries
I don’t generally love coconut teas- they’re generally weird and oily and often make my stomach turn. I’ve also gotten a bit burnt out on EG blends, so I wasn’t super thrilled to see this- but how mistaken I was. This is absolutely delicious. Such a fresh, bright coconut flavor, combined with sweet creamy marshmallow and just a touch of bergamot.
