Such interesting flavors going on with this tea! Definitely getting a steamed milk aroma that translates into an almost Samoa cookie experience. Not getting any of that in the flavor, though. Flavor-wise, I’m getting a bit of honey, some cinnamon, and an intense minerality. There is a fair amount of astringency that I could do without.

Nice amount of almond flavor, but would’ve been much better as a latte.

This is just so.good. So nutty and smooth. It was quite overcast this morning, and sipping this was really comforting. Definitely need to get more of this.

Pretty bland tasting with a subtle spice flavor (a bit like old potpourri). A bit bitter. No orange or almond.

I found this a bit disappointing. Instead of tasting aged and nuanced, it mostly tasted stale. Like the back of a cupboard that has been closed for too long.

I drank this a few days ago and it was forgettable. Buttery and vegetal, a bit floral. No bitterness, but the flavor was pretty one dimensional.

Finished off this bag, and while I loved it at first, the final go was pretty disappointing. It seemed like almost all of the final serving was toasted rice, so I was missing any hojicha flavor.
