I actually had a cup of this last night, after Keychange posted her note, but it was so good I made a cup just now:)

Today started amazingly, but no details into that. Lol. The fragrance of this tea is nostalgic really, this blueberry tea reminds me of well you guessed it, Blueberries!! Lol. Growing up in New Orleans we had different types of fruits and actually never had a blueberry before. When I was 10, my family and I took a beautiful family vacation to Boston, not only did I made my dream to go to Harvard, but I had blueberries for the first time! Fresh blueberries picked from the garden! (We were staying at a family friends house) I still remember my reaction to eating blueberries, it was juicy, and sweet, and questioned why is it called blueberries, if it isn’t blue? (Questioning the interior flesh)

Anyways, this tea is definitely tasteful, that isn’t artificial, I steeped it for 5 minutes and any longer could probably ruin the stevia flavor.

I enjoyed reading this :-)

Thanks! The memory actually means a lot to me! I might try cold brewing this tea, I’ve never done it before and remembered I read something about it on another post!

TheTeaFairy

I usually simply use a mason jar and let it rest for 12 hours in the fridge. Then I just use a strainer and drink :-) You can sample it after a shorter time and adjust to your own taste. I have cold brewed almost every teas in my own cupboard this way, they almost always turn out delicious plus it’s so easy to make, no hassle! It just requires a bit of your patience. This tea is a great candidate, you don’t have to be scared to leave it for the 12 hours, it wont turn bitter. Let us know how your experience turns out:-)

This memory sounds lovely. I think I’m going to have this tea tomorrow! You’re right about how fresh it tastes.

This was so cute, I came into work and semi stressed because of hmm let’s just say incompetence of the ‘team’ hmm. But I see this envelope labeled ‘Abby’ with a postal of Lupicia Tea. Ahh the little kid in me jumped up and got excited!! Lol and I knew it was from Crystal:)

This tea was included in little tea bags! And may I say good quality tea bags. The smell is amazing, I actually love cherries. I steeped it for 3 minutes, and maybe 30 seconds…not sure. Lol but I like this tea! This is the black tea that I remember growing up. This is referring that I’ve been drinking way too much black tea from David’s and they have that distinguished black tea. Hmm I like this!! Restocking on this hopefully soon.

Ps. I’m somewhat mad at myself, Coachella tickets, and my car payment, and rent, wiped me out, and I couldn’t bring myself to buy a Lupicia Happy Bag. :( hopefully I have room in my next pay check.

Yay for tea mail :-)

Yumm don’t want to go in depth with this one, until later..but this tea definitely helps my tea craving. Lol perfect blend, I do have to stay that I steep it less, because the astringency that David’s black tea has this smack lips taste…

Oh yea, I can get used to this tea. Let’s just face it, about 75% of tea I have, I don’t like it the first time, until I play around with it. But this tea is my “replacement” coffee.

Bumped up rating.

I swear I thought I posted a note, but I guess not.

Anyways, relaxing day today! Too bad I have to work tomorrow. Wah:( lol.

I’ve had this tea before and I wasn’t fond of it, too tarty! But today, I had it with my new Scandinavian Style Teapot that I am just in love with. This tea tasted amazing tonight. I steeped it for 5 minutes. I had aroma of creamy strawberry, and it tastes like a buttery strawberry dessert! I hate to admit that I’ve never had a rhubarb before. Please don’t judge me. Lol. But I’m really happy with this tea. Though this is a tea that I would have to crave for, not something I can drink over and over again. Yayy btw I also don’t like this tea when it gets cold, too tarty for me.

PS I can not spend on Tea this month because of Coachella 2014!!!!!!!! Sorry, no Lupicia Happy Bags until my next paycheck…(hopefully)
Btw, anyone going to Coachella this year? I already have a plan for my teas. I’m going to cold brew teas, and for my bed teas, I’m going to put boiling water in my Timolinos. Lol I’m going to test the theory of how long Hot water keeps contained I the next couple of weeks. And of all things fail, I’m going to beg the vendors if they have hot water anywhere….I know it will be freaking hot, but idc. :)

I want to, but lol can’t afford Coachella ever.

After noon tea!
This came in the Sweet Indulgence Box, and seemed very interesting, the Chocolate Orange has the aroma of Orange Blossoms and chocolate! I steeped it for 5 minutes around 200 F. This is interesting…It has a rich taste of chocolate and then the tartness of oranges. Yet maybe an aftertaste of orange blossoms. Im not sure if I like it….dammit…

Just added warm milk. Its better though I still have the aftertaste. Today is just not the day…

drank Salted Caramel by DAVIDsTEA
47 tasting notes

Ive been eyeing this salted caramel for awhile now, I received this as a sample from David’s Tea. As I opened the package I was slightly disappointed by the fragrance. It smelled like burnt caramel. I mean it smelled good dont get me wrong I just still wanted a more caramel smell.

I steeped it around 4 minutes. As I steep it, the smell is like burnt caramel but it has a floral note? I smell a flower in this, like a vanilla flower maybe. MM eck the taste isnt as good as I thought it would be. So I just warmed up milk and add a bit, mm good? not yet….added some Maple Agave…mm possibly better.

Overall, its not bad, I drank the whole thing, but its not what I wanted either.

keychange

I think a lot of people have been disappointed with this tea. I wonder if there’s another company who does a better blend.

Crystal O.

That’s disappointing to hear. That was one of the teas I’ve been eying.

drank Pistachio Cream by DAVIDsTEA
47 tasting notes

Ive probably had this tea so many times now, since October. Other than Pumpkin Chai, I really liked this tea from the Fall Collection and was amazingly excited that I got 250g of this!

This tea smells like Sweet Pistachio Ice Cream in the bag. It is beautiful! lol. Anyways, I really adore this tea, it reminds me of Torrone..this sticky creamy Almond and Pistachio taffy that my family used to get in New York City, more specifically in Italy town. Ahh, beautiful memories of my childhood.

Anyways the biggest tip for this tea is dont steep for too long! I steep it about 3-4 minutes. It also helps if you dont use boiling water! I also think that it tastes better hot then cold. Another thing is that the Mulberry leaves expand a lot!

PS Ive been taking classes on Tea Class, pretty exciting, can I put this on my resume now? :)

drank Birthday Cake by DAVIDsTEA
47 tasting notes

This has been on my “to-do” list for awhile

Yes, when you open it, it is overwhelmingly sweet, its almost sickening! But this tea is something Im looking for, sweet, and caffeine free!

The first time Ive tried this, it wasnt what I was expected, yea it was bland with a maple flavor? It was something off putting.

The second time: ugh…still not what I wanted out this tea! So I added maple agave…(I had no milk to make it creamy) yea..not loving it again

The third time, last night: alright, so I was craving this all day! something about the fragrance of this tea is addicting!! We were celebrating my sister’s birthday, and yes, I was eating a slice of red velvet while I was brewing this. Oh my, maybe because I havent had a “birthday cake” in a while, but something about this tea came out and damn it was right on that this tea was definitely birthday cake!!!

I cant wait to try this again so I can perfect this tea!

I believe I steeped this for 5 minutes and a little bit of german rock sugar. :)

PS Im going to order some tea from The Tea Merchant! Yay Im moving on from David’s Tea.

Tea-sters !

I currently live in Las Vegas, but born and raised from New Orleans! I have been working at Lush Cosmetics for 3-4 years as a Trainer. My major is Biology and Business hoping to get into Medical School. I do enjoy eating and reviewing restaurants throughout Vegas, going to concerts, and having fun!

I am beginning a new love and hobby for tea, but I guess i haven’t expanded to new teas since my cupboard is mostly Davids Tea and Teavana. I feel as though I don’t have any friends in Vegas that are quite as addicted to tea as I am and I probably don’t know what I’m doing; so any suggestions I would appreciate it!
