So I finally managed to find out the right steeping time combination for this Oolong.
I didn’t manage to fully eradicate a little astringency but I think 5 minutes are enough for this tea.

I think the tea base is just not for me. That’s weird because I am not an expert in Oolong but I’ve always read oolong teas have no astringency.

I have a complaint about the Orange blossom aroma, unfortunately I was expecting something really more present. To my opinion, there is a lack of Orange Blossom aroma in the tea (there are a lot of dried orange blossom flowers)

I was expecting a lot from this tea and I am really disappointed.

I’ll keep trying anyway… :)

have you ever had plain orange blossom tea? the dried ornage blossoms? It´s a popular (or was) tisane in Portugal and eurgh, much as I love the scent of citrus blossoms, or it on perfume, the dried blossom just does not ressemble it!

Though Mariage Freres might be (should!) making the tea with some other method than just including plain dried orange blossom!

Ysaurella

sure they added natural oil but not enough for me :)

First, please forgive me for my English and all the grammatical mistakes you’ll find in my posts.
As English isn’t my mother tongue it sometimes makes things more difficult to express cleverly and accurately what I feel.

I was mainly in black flavoured teas, green as well if not bitter.
I’m now drinking much straight teas because my palate is now developed enough to appreciate them .

My favourite brands are : Taiwan tea Crafts, Teavivre, Mariage Frères,Theodor,Butiki Teas,Dammann Frères, Betjeman & Barton.
My ratings are as follow :

100 to 95 : my darlings; always in my cupboard (or very often ! )

94 to 90 : Excellent tea

89 to 80 : very good tea, a pleasure to drink it

79 to 70: not bad even quite nice, why not having it sometimes, but well,it’s not so urgent !

69 to 50 : Meh, deceptive or just not for me – but has some qualities

49 to 30 : I just don’t appreciate it

Under 30 : is this thing supposed to be tea ?!?!?
