38 Tasting Notes
I was a little skeptical about this tea because it makes some bold claims about how it’s “intended for presidents, CEOs,” etc., haha. But I ending up loving it. It really did help me feel focused and energetic (without the jittery effects of coffee or even other heavily caffeinated teas), and I like the subtle green tea/jasmine taste, despite packing quite a punch worth of herbs from panax ginseng to astragalus. I’ll be buying this tea again for sure.
The only thing I didn’t like was that multiple times when I opened the tea bag package, it ripped the actual tea bag and spilled the herbs everywhere. I drink a lot of tea and this usually doesn’t happen to me with most packages. Overall though, the tea itself is great.
Flavors: Green, Jasmine
I’m not a fan of licorice, so it makes sense that I don’t love the taste of this tea. I also don’t find it very “soothing” to drink — I don’t get that warm feeling from it that some teas give. I probably wouldn’t buy it again, especially because drinking it before bed was giving me nightmares (due to the Valerian root ingredient, which is known for stimulating dreaming).
This tea tastes excellent — exactly what I would hope for out of a “cranberry spice” tea. Very warm and soothing, and the taste is especially perfect for fall/winter. It does seem to help a bit with digestion, too. I also like that it has just a little bit of caffeine — perfect for when I want an extra boost of energy without it affecting my sleep or making me feel jittery.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Cranberry
While I didn’t notice any drastic relaxation from this, it does seem to help de-stress a little bit. Very strong licorice flavor, so if you’re a fan of licorice, I would definitely recommend drinking this tea at the end of a long day. Given that I don’t really enjoy the taste of licorice, I wouldn’t personally buy this again.
From what I’ve read, Kombucha loses many of the properties it’s known for when it’s boiled, so I’m not sure how effective this is from that standpoint. It gave me a little bit of a stomach ache, so if you have a sensitive stomach I’d recommend drinking it on a full stomach.
As for the taste, it was fairly mild and pleasant, and almost tasted a little carbonated (I’m assuming because of the kombucha).
