drank Mango Madness by DAVIDsTEA

I couldn’t remember whether I had tasted this tea before, so I got it today. I may have had it. It is not memorable. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing when I think about the terrible artificially flavored citrus teas that tasted like Tang when they cooled. This isn’t bad.

I had a cup of this today for the first time. It is enjoyable, but doesn’t have quite as much flavor as some other chocolate teas. That being said, I’ll probably drink it again, but not without wishing that it was David’s Earl of Valentine tea.

I don’t think that I enjoy this blend of India and Nepal black teas as much as I do the individual teas. Not a bad cuppa, though.

It’s funny that I started out mostly liking flavored teas. But at least with David’s Teas, I am starting to enjoy their plain teas much more. I guess that my palate is becoming educated. I really like this Nepal Black, and I will definitely have it again.

I tried all three of David’s Tea’s new spring teas today, and I came away with a hot cup of this one. It smells lovely and has a nice full body. It was very pleasant, but I’m not sure that I would get it again.

Very mild flavor. Not unpleasant tasting, but not too exciting. I think I’d better get some more tisanes for spring.

I didn’t think much of this tea until I put a teaspoon of sugar in it. That changed everything. This is a nice dessert tea with a creamy mouth feel and mild flavor.

I like this tea a lot using less tea and a shorter steep. It holds up well to a second steep. The room smells really amazing while you are drinking it, too.

drank Strawberry Fields by DAVIDsTEA

Springlike temps in Boston today for the first time in a very, very long time. So I made it down to David’s Tea only to find that the teas of the day had no caffeine which I sorely need after springing ahead into daylight savings time. I decided to give Strawberry Fields a try because it smelled so good, and really, it is not as bad as everyone says. My cup did not have a particularly strong strawberry flavor, so that may be why it did not disgust me with its artificiality.

You guys have had such a tough winter! Glad it’s getting better!

Yeah for spring weather. It is in the 40’s in Chicago and I can finally get outside and walk. I’ve been doing my usual 3 miles at the rec center but it feels sooooo good to get outside!

Formerly exclusively a coffee drinker—-plain black. But I’ve turned over a new leaf, and now consume tea in the afternoons and evenings. And I love flavored, interesting teas—but I get bored with them quickly, and so need lots to switch around.
