From the Tea and Cards TTB: Oh wow, the beautiful honey and malt notes of this tea are haunting me. I love the floaty cocoa notes and the texture of this. I found the dry leaf aroma to be quite underwhelming in comparison to the taste. I guess that’s a good thing though. Better that than the other way around

I really really enjoy this. The coconut flavour is just bold enough and the vanilla that comes through just makes it that much better. It’s not on the MUST buy list, but definitely on the Will probably end up buying one :P

From the Tea and Cards TTB.: this tastes like an earl grey creme with some blueberry flavouring. The flavours are nicely balanced. I enjoyed my cup, and I would definitely accept a cup, but I can’t say that it’s something that I would necessarily buy

Grapefruit black tea from some company I can’t remember the name of (sample is at work), from the Tea and Cards TTB. Horrible. Black tea and grapefruit is just a terrible TERRIBLE combination that should never exist. I love grapefruit. I love black tea. I hate them together. The grapefruit flavour was spot on but the combination was just a sad, sad waste of black tea. Very blech.

Yeah that sounds like a perfect combination for a horribly bitter and sour tea…

I love this tea that I found in the Tea and Cards TTB because it has vanilla, a bit of mint and big tones of confectioner’s sugar. I do not love this tea because there is a sort of plastic-y taste to it as well. I would drink it again, but that strange taste is annoying. Is it just me?

It could be that the tea is old? Della Terra hasn’t offered it since last spring.

From T&C TTB: uh. Yeah.
Inject it into my veins.
Wait no.
I can’t taste it that way.

Got this from the T&C TTB and I was so excited when I saw it. I love Hannibal, and I was very curious to see what this tea would be like. Reading others’ reviews, I can’t help but to feel like I’m not having the same tea as everybody else, because my cup had strong notes of caramel, with a nuttiness and cinnamon. It was slightly toasty as well. I was like “WOW :o:o” when I took my first sip. I think these are the strongest caramel notes I’ve gotten in a tea.

Ahh Hannibal is the best show!! :D So good!

Bio

I was introduced to the world of tea after trying to find a way to stop binging on sugar at night (I have a bit of insomnia). Then I had the brilliant idea of going to David’s Tea to get some sweet dessert-y teas to replace all the crap I was eating, whilst still satisfying my sweet tooth.

And then I tried an Oolong and I was done for.

So this is me, exploring the world of tea with excitement, spending way too much money on it, drinking impressive amounts of it, and although I do love flavoured teas, I am now beginning to try high quality straight teas, and trying to learn as much as I can. I have rarely been so passionate about something so quickly.

My boyfriend thinks I am crazy with all my teas. I actually hide some from him when I get deliveries, just so he won’t panic haha. When he does say something, I just reply that to me, tasting tea is like tasting wine, and it brings me the same kind of joy as eating chocolate or eating fine food. Only better.

Flavours I Like: Most fruits, Cinnamon, Licorice, Cloves, Pepper, Caramel, Vanilla, Chocolate, Cardamom, Floral Teas, Honey, Coffee, Pastry/Bread, Smoky, Woody

Flavours I dislike: strong vegetal tastes (a little is ok), Rooibos, Mate, Lemon, Raspberry (for the most part), Orange, Lavender, Eucalyptus, Overpowering Mint,

Other than that, un-related to tea, I love make-up artistry, parrots and birds (in real life, not objects lol), crime and trial stories, flowers, baking, wine, reading, collecting teapots and mugs and stand-up comedy.

I love Dexter, Orange is the New Black, Hannibal, all reality food and cooking series…

As I’m re-reading this I can’t help but to notice how I love extra dark things and extra happy things with no real middle. Hm. xD “I like staying up to date on murder trials…and drinking tea while bird watching!” I’m NOT weird, I swear. :)
