127 Tasting Notes
I’m so confused by this tea. It’s too tart to drink in most forms. I tried it hot, I tried it iced, and then I had to add a generous helping of rock sugar to my iced tea after that. I cold brewed my recycled tea leaves in a bottle, and at least the resulting lightly-flavoured water wasn’t terrible. However, the only positive things I have to say are that the tea leaves turned my drink a very pretty pink, and the aroma – both before and after brewing – was wonderful.

This tea reminds me of Snow Day, and that’s not necessarily a good thing; after all, I only drink Snow Day when I feel a sore throat coming on. The mint and chocolate flavours are very strong, and I’m disappointed that I can’t taste more of the green tea itself. If you blindfolded me and gave me a cup of this tea, I would swear that it’s a herbal infusion instead. In contrast to Strawberry Shake, which I drank yesterday, I don’t like Mint Chip Sundae nearly as much.

I was very apprehensive about the papaya in this tea. But Skinny Tins were 2 for $15 in-store, and I liked the sound of Strawberry Shake (as a green tea) a lot better than Vanilla Swirl (as a herbal infusion). It seems I needn’t have worried. Mostly, this tea just tastes like green tea with a subtle hint of sweetness. The aroma of the strawberry shake is spot-on. This tea is delicious.

I sampled this in-store. I was really wary about it because I’ve had bad experiences with herbal infusions before. First sip – all I could taste was pineapple. That ruined the tea for me, because I dislike pineapple as both a fruit and a flavour. However, I drank what was left in my cup and held it in my mouth a bit longer – eventually I did get the impression of soft serve vanilla ice cream, as advertised.
Long story short, I don’t like this tea, but that’s due to personal preference.

This is a…pleasant tea, but I don’t think it’s exactly what’s advertised. I can taste a faint hint of strawberry flavour, and no cream flavour at all. In my opinion, it takes a really long time for this tea to steep? The container says 4-7 minutes, but my cup still tasted like water after that time; I had to steep for 10 minutes before the water even changed colour. This tea is not too sweet, and not too tart, but it’s not very amazing either. At least I don’t have to add anything extra to make it palatable.

Wow. I’m someone who likes strong black teas with subtle flavours, and White Chocolate Rose doesn’t disappoint. When I read the description, I thought it would be similar to DAVIDsTEA Love Tea #7, but with white chocolate bits added. The sales rep said it was more like Red Rose English Breakfast tea, and that’s the better comparison. I brewed a teapot without having to add any milk or sugar. The tea looks a little greasy due to the white chocolate, but it tastes sublime.
