I don’t have the words to describe the taste of this tea, but it is wonderful. I got multiple teapots worth out of two perfect spoonfuls. Although I oversteeped my tea leaves a lot, I didn’t notice any adverse flavours.

Dry, this tea has a nice peachy and floral aroma. Steeped, it doesn’t leave much of an impression on me. It’s pleasant to drink but somehow bland at the same time.

I can’t help but compare Buddha’s Blend to Monk’s Blend every time, just because of their similar names. Monk’s Blend is unquestionably the better of the two. It’s too bad that DAVIDsTEA discontinued it…

drank Choco Chaga Detox by DAVIDsTEA

This tea had quite the strong smell when I opened the tin, so I was expecting the worst. However, it’s not bad. The chocolate flavour does not particularly stand out, but at least my cup was not bitter like some other reviews stated. I’m reminded of a really dark piece of chocolate in the 90-99% range. I was out of milk, or else I would have mixed some in. Maybe next time.

Edit: Curiously, I looked back at my previous tasting notes, and I had rated DAVIDsTEA’s other chocolate teas poorly in the past. Compared to Hot Chocolate and Dark Chocolate Delight, this tea sat really well with me.

You’re most likely to find: Black/Green/Oolong Teas. Caramel. Chocolate. Cream.

I am also tempted by: Flowers. Comparisons to alcohol. Berries.

Despite the above, I generally dislike herbal teas and fruit infusions.

Coffee flavours do not belong in tea. If I want coffee, I will go to Starbucks.
