I like the simplicity of this tea. I’ll brew a cup, add a splash of milk, and all is good.

Flavors: Chocolate, Mint

Boiling 4 min, 0 sec 2 tsp 12 OZ / 354 ML

drank Mocha Latte by DAVIDsTEA

I should have known better than to buy this tea. I asked the sales associate at DAVIDsTEA which of their other blends tasted most similar to Mocha Latte, and she replied Jumpy Monkey. I hated Jumpy Monkey. But the lure of a $4 tin of tea on Boxing Day was too great. Now I have 90g of this tea left to drink…

I added milk generously to the teapot after brewing, and still there is a slightly bitter taste to my tea that I dislike. I do drink coffee regularly – whenever I’m not drinking tea – and this is an entirely different flavour than what I’d expect. I’d much rather substitute a cup of black coffee with a little cream.

Flavors: Coffee

drank Pumpkin Cheesecake by DAVIDsTEA

Hmm, at first sip, I wanted to say that I didn’t like it. It was very spicy, and almost reminded me of a Chai tea. However, I refused to experience buyer’s remorse that quickly, and made myself try a second cup. This time around, I added Teavana’s rock sugar to the mix. The rock sugar enhanced the sweetness of the white chocolate and maple syrup, making the drink palatable enough, although the spice from the nutmeg still dominates. Next time, I’m going to try this with a splash of milk.

Flavors: Maple Syrup, Nutmeg, Pumpkin, White Chocolate

drank Guangzhou Milk Oolong by DAVIDsTEA

Oops, originally posted this review on the wrong page. This tea is amazing! I’ve brewed it hot and drank it just like that; I’ve added ice cubes to a hot drink; and I’ve drank this cold-brewed overnight. It has a mild, milky flavour that’s just right. And it actually tastes like authentic Oolong! The only sad fact is that this tea is expensive. I redeemed my Frequent Steeper reward to try this.

Flavors: Cream, Milk

Boiling 5 min, 30 sec 1 tsp 12 OZ / 354 ML

drank Monk's Blend by DAVIDsTEA

It’s like a more affordable blend of DAVIDsTEA’s Quangzhou Milk Oolong. The milk flavouring is most important to me, and it’s not smothered by the white and green tea flavours, so ultimately I’m satisfied. I even steeped my tea leaves twice and still enjoyed my second cup!

Flavors: Cream, Milk

drank Pumpkin Spice Brulee by Teavana

Yuck. The pumpkin spice is very evident in both the aroma and flavour of this tea, but nonetheless this was not a fun cup to drink. I’m used to liking most pumpkin-flavoured things, so this tea was somewhat of an impulse buy. However, I think I’ll stick to pumpkin spice lattes, scones, muffins, etc. in the future. Speaking of lattes, I think I need to prepare the remainder of this tea with milk each time.

Flavors: Pumpkin, Spices

It’s a nice tea, but I don’t understand the hype. (Why do people go crazy about Earl Grey in general?)

I do have this to say: I can drink this tea straight without adding anything – sugar, milk, or ice.

Flavors: Vanilla

Bio

You’re most likely to find: Black/Green/Oolong Teas. Caramel. Chocolate. Cream.

I am also tempted by: Flowers. Comparisons to alcohol. Berries.

Despite the above, I generally dislike herbal teas and fruit infusions.

Coffee flavours do not belong in tea. If I want coffee, I will go to Starbucks.
