drank Main Squeeze by DAVIDsTEA

This was the very first tea I tried and bought from DAVIDsTEA; it has a nice and very light orange taste, but the only thing that really throws it off is the earthy-ness from the maté. Other than that, it’s a pretty alright tea.

TIP: I like to use this for my fruit smoothies, by preparing the tea the night before, popping it in the fridge, and then using it for my smoothie as opposed to water or fruit juice.

drank Salted Caramel by DAVIDsTEA

Initially I thought this was a really good tea. As I got to drink it more and more, I realized how much I started to dislike it. After a few brews, the loose leaf started smelling like sweat (ew) to me, and it was just unbearable to drink. I don’t have much to say about this tea but other than the fact that drinking it as a tea latte is the only way to go really.

drank Sangria by DAVIDsTEA

This is one of my favourite iced tea’s ever. I wasn’t looking forward to it initially when I smelled it; it seemed way too strong because all the ingredients were extremely overpowering. Turns out that this tea is amazing iced (and to be fair, it was part of the Summer Collection of 2014 so duh) and it is so perfect as a teapop. I really hope DAVIDsTEA returns it along with the new Summer Collection they have lined up for 2015, it’s literally that amazing.

drank Magic Dragon by DAVIDsTEA

I was really excited to try this blend when it came out, not only because it involved dragon fruit, but also because it was my mini escape every two days I had to go to summer school for basically all of my summer. Anyways, this blend is SERIOUSLY packed with flavour. You can definitely taste the dragon fruit as well as the hibiscus. It’s very very tart, so meh (I guess the combination of dragon fruit and hibiscus didn’t do it complete justice, even though I like both individually). However, although it is a good blend overall, it is definitely not a restock for me.

drank Birthday Cake by DAVIDsTEA

Cue the music…. “I’ll give you a taste, make it like your birthday everyday”. I think those Katy Perry lyrics really depicts how this blend tastes, KIDDING! But let me tell you, I actually really like this blend a lot. It does taste like birthday cake, you can actually taste those little notes of cake batter and that makes it so much more festive and enjoyable to drink. It does taste very similar to the Red Velvet Cake actually, so it is a good caffeine-free alternative if you like that blend (Personally I love both of them). I didn’t buy this blend until this summer (which is quite odd because it’s Iced tea season for me now..) and I decided to be a little adventurous and try this iced. I was pleasantly surprised…in a good way…. because it tastes absolutely amazing! It definitely doesn’t have the birthday cake flavour when it is iced (presumably because of the dilution of the ice…duh?) but it does taste like sweet tea you get from the U.S (which I actually love so much) or if you are familiar with the big Arizona Iced tea cans, it tastes just like the sweet tea flavour. So good.

drank Shooting Starfruit by DAVIDsTEA

I’ve always been a huge fan of both starfruit and jackfruit, but I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical when I heard about the two fruits being infused into a white tea (I guess you could say I’m biased, just because I’m not that much of a white tea fan… But then again we all have our likes and dislikes right?) Anyways, I was completely wrong about this tea and I take back all my judgements! This tastes absolutely amazing ICED, so good. Not so sure about its’ taste in a hot brew (considering it was released as a part of DAVIDsTEA’s Summer Collection for the sake of Iced teas) but I will definitely give an update once I do try it. The bitter after taste that white tea is known for is not as prominent in this blend, but it is definitely existent (not much of a bother at all).

drank Just Peachy by DAVIDsTEA

DAVIDsTEA Summer Collection definitely had me hyped this year, and I was dead on sure I was going to like this blend. It tastes absolutely delicious iced, so good to just have it in the morning and take it when I’m on the go. If you know you’ll be running out early in the morning, leaving it to overnight to steep is actually not a bad idea, it just becomes super saturated with the peachy flavour. If you’re not cool with the overnight steeping, just steep it for 1/3 more in time than you, usually would steep it (I like mine steeped for 10 minutes, so that would be 15 in this case). Really give it a try if you’re there, it’s one of my favourites of the Summer Collection alongside Sangria.

EDIT: This makes such a good treat as ICE POPS. DAVIDsTEA have just recently released good quality Ice Pop containers, check their site out if you’re interested!
