I’m pretty sure this is the tea I’m drinking. I got it from Lariel and there’s no company name so I’ll just assume.

This is another of those tastes like watered down juice concoctions that I sometimes like and sometimes don’t. This one is too tart for me, which I think is a combination of the cranberry and the hibiscus. I usually don’t like cranberries unless they are highly sweetened, and just a tsp of sugar into my 14oz mug doesn’t cut it but I don’t want to add any more sugar than that. So now I drink down the rest as fast as possible because I hate wasting tea. Glad I got to try it though, I’ve never had a tea from this company before.

Sample from whatshesaid. Thanks!

This smells so incredibly vanilla that I had some high hopes for it, finding my perfect vanilla tea (so far the top is the vanilla tea from Persimmon Tree). Unfortunately the taste doesn’t quite live up to the smell, so I was a little disappointed. I’m currently looking for a vanilla tea that’s really ‘in your face’ so to speak but I haven’t found one yet, subtle seems more the name of the game for most of these. I still keep looking though.

I will say though, I got the perfect amount in my sample for the size pot I have. I probably underleafed it according to instructions (1.5 tsp per 6 oz is a LOT of tea) so perhaps if I had more I would actually use the instructions, though I usually don’t, just go by the 4 tsp per 2 mug rule (mugs != 6 oz). Anyway. Might have to try this one again at some point. How big are DTT’s samples anyway?

So this is quite a bit cooler than I normally drink matcha because I had a meeting come up in the middle of making this that I had to go to, bleh. Nothing much talked about except I have super awesome job security right now because everyone including me is so freaking busy.

drank Mango by Adagio Teas
772 tasting notes

In light of advice about Adagio black teas from I don’t even know where, possibly someone’s tasting note? I brewed this at a lower temperature than I normally would a black, only 190. I’m happy to report that this is not bitter in the least and had a pleasing mango taste. I didn’t put a lot of my focus into drinking this tea, was working, but I drank it all in a much shorter period of time than normal and it was gone before I knew it. I have a tiny bit left, I shared my pot with a coworker and his mug is smaller than mine and I make enough for 2 of my mugs, so I have a bit left, but I’m always unsure how to sugar and milk that small amount of tea so I’ll probably just be drinking it plain. When it finishes cooling off anyway, I had the heater on my Breville on so it’s still quite warm.

Work is going better today, got one task completed and I’ll start the next task (of the 3 major ones on my plate) later today and probably tomorrow too. I’m trying to convince one of my coworker friends to drive with me as a carpool for the next 2 weeks because we have a holiday in that pay period and some of the van needs to go to 8 hour days, which I hate. 10 hour days is better, but those aren’t allowed anymore so 9 is my usual.

I’d also like to report that my Avengers fanfiction obsession has gotten out of hand and I didn’t even eat a whole meal yesterday, partly because of it. C’est la vie, I guess.

Thanks to whatshesaid for this sample. I am very grateful that I get to try this one because of all the great reviews even though I should technically not be drinking it at all because honeybush gives me horrible headaches and nausea but I just had to try it anyway. I’ll regret it later, but that’s later and now is now.

This is super citrusy, mostly lime to my tastebuds and definitely creamy. It’s a very mellow and sweet flavour and I am once again very impressed by Della Terra’s ability to make an actual dessert into tea. There is a smoothness to this that is very nice. This was very nice to try but I’m pretty much absolutely certain I will never drink this again.

Does rooibos bother you too or just honeybush?

ohfancythat

Glad you enjoyed it, even though it’s forbidden!

Starfevre

Just honeybush for now. I’ve heard that rooibos is related so it’s possible that I’ve just not drunk enough to react to it yet. That’s how allergies usually work for me, I don’t react at first, but the more I drink/wear/whatever it, the worse it gets.

This is decent, but certainly not my new favourite vanilla tea. I’m mostly tasting the vanilla in the aftertaste not the actual sip. Kinda disappointing since Steep City Teas are usually really pretty good.

And work is horrible and I’m going to die of boredom.

drank Valentines by Adagio Teas

This has some rose in it so I thought it would be appropriate for Mother’s Day as well as Valentine’s Day. Called my mother up, I’m the only one this year that doesn’t get to see her today, both of my siblings managed to be in the same location as her this year. Oh well.

This tea is…okay. It’s a little sweet and a little bitter and an okay taste, but nothing to write home about. I like the strawberries, and the chocolate doesn’t come through very well, and I’m pretty sure it’s the rose that’s making it bitter, but I can’t be completely sure.

More minty than yesterday, but still entirely pleasant. And it’s almost time to go home!
