15061 Tasting Notes
terriharplady my dearest tea sisiter, let me have a bit of this when i was at her house exploring her teas haha. I have to say that this is a really delicious tea from YS. It actually hit the spot a little better than LB this morning, but don’t tell LB that! I brewed this one western for ease and was left with a really delicious, slightly sweet but malty cup of tea. i didn’t get much astringency in the cup, which was nice. I’ll have to try the other teal of this variety that i picked up from terri as well and see how it compares.
oh boy. it’s finally over. I’m home and not planning on going anywhere else unless it’s for vacation! this was one of my first cups of tea – having not really been able to drin much over the past 5 weeks. So nice to be back with my tea collection and able to drink my favourites and sample all the news teas i picked up last month!
Tea Count: 138
i tried this as a sample while at David’s today. I don’t recall much about it, besides finding it rather tasty. I picked up some more to play around with at home, since i think this might do well as a latte given the flavouring. over all though, the only “pumpkin” tea from david’s that appealed to me after smelling them all.
Tea Count: 138 (was supposed to try and get to 90 by the end of september…way to go terri! and nicole…i’m putting that all on your two! lol)
Oh well, lol, I’m back up to 380 or so, & although it’s mostly my fault, you & Nicole helped :). You’ll be proud of me to know that I haven’t ordered any tea since our visit, even though I have money sitting in my playpal account whispering, “spend meeeee”. Also, I’m starting to line up teas for another addition of *Little Terri’s Ultimate Sipdown Extravaganza!" :)
i’ve been bad… i ordered the 1 tea sample for us from misty peaks… and then whispering pines things… and now i’m staring at stacy’s teas to try all the new ones before black friday…
I had this tonight as well – though i was worried it might actually make me sleepy as that seems to be it’s selling feature. Of course, it didn’t. That being said though, this was a tasty cup and nice to have as a herbal option for me today to help fight the sick!
I picked up a little more of this today as it seemed to be just what i wanted given that i’m sick. I like this one a lot more than others but, that being said, it still isn’t anything i need to have in my cupboard for long. It’s one of those teas that you know would lose it’s appeal (or is that a peal? apple-y) after having mulitple cups. Still though, great cup for watching game of thrones with my other half tonight before i’m off again in the morning.
i had this a long time ago in a galaxy far far away… another really nice cup from joseph wesley :)
mmmmm this was one of the teas i snuck from terri when i was visiting her. I’m trying to get through some of my samples so that i can get back to focusing on my larger quantities of teas. This is a really smooth tasting tea. Now, granted i’m a little sick so i’m not sure i’m catching all the nuances today but it’s a rather pleasant cup of tea today. Not overly malty, but still has some maltiness to it. It’s smooth, and there’s no astringency to this. The description mentions floral notes, but i’m not getting any of those, and that makes me a happy camper. Is this better than my favourites from Yunnan? Nope. But i wouldn’t turn a cup of this down for sure. :)
sipdown! this was my other cup of tea from this morning, mostly because I’m feeling guilty that i’m so far behind in my sipdown goals….because i lost a month of tea drinking AND continued to buy things LOL. and pick things up from terri… eep! Back in chicago tomorrow as well, so i need to try my best not to pick up more tea from tea gsch… or adagio while i’m there…. heh.
this was a nice cup of tea for today…the weather is MUCH cooler than phoenix lol and being sick = i want comfort. :)
oh man… 6 weeks down of this travelling thing for work and i’m ALMOST at the end of this. I’m home for a day, which has basically allowed me to switch out my suitcase and be off again tomorrow morning. I managed to relax just a little in phoenix, so my body decided to get sick. Thank god there’s only 2 more days of travelling and then i’m done for a time. It’s been a great experience but seriously, going for a month without my tea is not a good time. So of course, first cup today was this one :) good ol’ reliable. i love this tea.
Tea Count: 134
Still finding this one not to my liking. Terri sent me home with a little more of this and after several tries of this one, it’s just not for me. In a way that’s great, because it saves me having another tea that i MUST HAVE haha. not a bad tea, just not for me :)
